As a first generation college graduate, I understand what it means to navigate systems, expectations, and transitions without a roadmap. My own journey shaped the heart of my work: helping adolescents and young adults who are carrying similar pressures, hopes, and responsibilities. I know the resilience it takes to succeed while balancing family dynamics, cultural identity, and the desire to create a life that feels authentic and self directed. In my practice, I use a solution focused, strengths based approach that empowers clients to identify what’s working, build on their natural abilities, and create meaningful change in their daily lives. I believe therapy should be practical, collaborative, and deeply affirming—especially for individuals who have had to figure out so much on their own. I am passionate about supporting first generation students, high achieving youth, and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds who are navigating identity development, family expectations, academic or career stress, and the pressure to “be the one who makes it.” My goal is to provide a space where clients feel seen, supported, and equipped with tools that help them move forward with steadiness and self‑trust.

Hello, I am glad you took the time to read my biography. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who has a heart for people who are looking for empowerment and growth. I personally know what this feels like and how difficult it can be. I was blessed to have people in my life to help me during my "trying times." Honestly, I still do. I am Bi-lingual, (Spanish) and have been practicing for 13 years. I have worked with teenagers, adults, and couples. I do not work with children due to my lack of training. My experience entails working with addictions and various disorders. I believe in both therapy and medication and am cultural competent to utilize as resources. My heart is working with trauma and am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe that my job is to have my clients get to the point where they are no longer needing my services. That's right, to get myself fired! I believe that we were created in the image of the Creator which means the ability to love and be loved and to have the freedom to make wise decisions which help navigate us through this journey we are on. Thank you again for reading my biography. I wish you the freedom you are looking for and believe YOU ARE WORTH IT!

The human experience is not something that always works based on logic. Our brains are wonderful tools that can occasionally get stuck in a survival mode that leaves us feeling helpless and terrified. We can become stuck logical loops, anxious cycles, helpless before the fear of the unknown, or in a dark depression that stops us from continuing our previous goals and fun hobbies. Our past can be a reason for this. Sometimes it might be recent events at just the wrong time. It can even be a combination of small things that seemed to always shift never going away. My philosophy of treatment is to teach my clients how mind and body work so that they can make their choice in how they choose to live and interact with others. I am trained in EMDR, hypnosis, and IFS and apply all in working with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression and for pain management from physical illness. A person's mind is like a garden, cultivated or left to it's own devices it will always grow. When carefully tended it is a thing of beauty, but if left alone it is a mess of weeds. In understanding the thoughts and beliefs you have about the world and how you can shape them, you can learn to thrive. With a new perspective you can change everything.

Nobody comes to therapy because they need someone to tell them to “think positive.” They come because they’re tired. Tired of anxiety calling the shots. Tired of repeating the same relationship patterns. Tired of carrying things they were never meant to carry alone. Life is complicated enough. Understanding yourself shouldn’t be. My job is to help you make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface and give you practical tools you can actually use long after our sessions end. No two people are the same, so no two sessions are either. We focus on what you need most that day while never losing sight of where you’re trying to go. Some days we’ll process. Some days I’ll challenge you. Some days we’ll laugh because life has a weird sense of humor. Every session has one goal: helping you move forward. If you’re looking for a therapist who’s engaged, honest, down-to-earth, and willing to have real conversations, I think you’ll feel right at home here.

I am a seasoned counselor familiar with adolescents, issues of personal development, empowerment, issues about personal power, overcoming fear, and identifying values. I value honesty, courage, self-actualization and altruism. I have worked almost exclusively with males. I see the world from a male perspective because that's the point of view I have experienced life through. I have spent years in the gym. I am a musician, and I play out somewhere every week. There are a few high-stakes, difficult life situations I want to address here: If you are afraid of your child setting a fire, trying to get a gun, or stealing from you in plain sight, reach out. If your child is being bullied, I might be able to help him to acquire the skills necessary to hold his own in life. Finally, if you or a family member is being stalked or threatened by someone, I may be able to professionally assess the danger.

Please note: Because of my role at the University of Houston (UH), university policy, as of Sept. 2025, prevents me from providing private counseling services to current UH students or UH alumni. This policy applies across all University of Houston campuses and programs. Hello and welcome— I’m Helen, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what’s next, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in curiosity. I’m not here to fix you or push an agenda—I’m here to walk alongside you as we make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences together. Many of my clients wrestle with perfectionism, anxiety, or a quiet sense that something’s off, even if they can’t quite name it. Through gentle conversation and thoughtful questions, I help you uncover patterns, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and reconnect with your strengths. We’ll explore what’s working, what’s not, and how you can begin to shift toward a version of life that feels more honest, meaningful, and sustainable. Therapy doesn’t have to feel clinical or intimidating. It can feel like exhaling. Like clarity. Like finally hearing your own voice again. I look forward to meeting you.

Hello! I'm thrilled you're taking the brave step toward seeking support. My name is Brittany Gomola, and I bring a diverse and extensive range of experience to my counseling practice. I completed my clinical training in the New Jersey, gaining valuable experience in a variety of challenging and rewarding settings. My foundational clinical internships were completed at both a community mental health facility and a child and family center in inner-city Trenton, where I developed a deep understanding of complex family dynamics and community-based care. My commitment to helping individuals navigate life's challenges is broad. Since relocating to the Houston area, I have dedicated time to supporting clients through recovery as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) at a substance abuse recovery center. Furthermore, I currently serve as a Special Education Teacher and hold a specialization as a Clinical Autism Specialist. This dual role has equipped me with unique skills in behavioral support, individualized planning, and effective communication across various developmental needs. I believe in lifelong learning and continually enhancing my expertise to best serve my clients. I am currently deepening my professional focus by furthering my training in perinatal counseling. This specialization will allow me to offer sensitive and informed support to individuals and families navigating the emotional and psychological journey of pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. Whether you are seeking support for substance use, family challenges, specialized care related to autism, or the unique struggles of the perinatal period, I am here to offer a collaborative, compassionate, and informed therapeutic space. I believe therapy is meant to be a space of mutual collaboration, help work towards and help understand those aspects of your life that motivated you to seek guidance. I believe that each situation is unique, just like the individuals involved. I embrace multiple modalities that include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Self-Compassion. I thus embrace a client-centric approach of unconditional positive regard where the goal is for you to embrace your inner strength, leading to your desired clinical outcomes. You may be someone who appears strong and capable on the outside while privately carrying stress, trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, or the pressure of always having to hold everything together. I work with adults of all genders, and over the years, I have gained extensive experience helping men address the concerns that often matter most to them. My work with men includes navigating relationship and communication difficulties, divorce or separation, fatherhood, work-related stress, anger, emotional isolation, loss of identity, depression, anxiety, trauma, and the pressure to remain strong while struggling internally. I understand that many men have been taught to suppress vulnerability or solve problems alone. Therapy with me is practical, respectful, and judgment-free—a place where you can speak honestly without feeling criticized or misunderstood. As a South Asian therapist, I also understand how culture, family expectations, identity, immigration experiences, and intergenerational patterns can influence mental health. I welcome South Asian clients, veterans, active-duty service members, and individuals coping with PTSD, military-related experiences, major life transitions, and relationship concerns. My approach is warm, direct, culturally responsive, and focused on meaningful change. Together, we will understand the patterns keeping you stuck, strengthen your coping and communication skills, and help you move forward with greater confidence, peace, and clarity. You do not have to navigate everything alone.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed in a crisis, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or wanting more intimacy and sexual connection without judgment, I can help. I also work with anxiety, depression, grief, and the many ways these struggles often overlap. Every person is unique, and the issues that bring someone to therapy are rarely isolated , they’re usually connected in ways that become clearer once we start talking. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with 14 years of experience. I work especially well with intelligent, driven adults who are used to relying on their mind and willpower to keep life moving. On the outside things may look successful, but inside they often feel disconnected or stuck. I help them change their relationship with their feelings so those emotions stop getting in the way and start becoming useful information. My style is steady, practical, and collaborative. I stay grounded when things feel intense and help you move toward real relief and clearer connection.

I’m a business owner, a single mom, and a foster and adoptive parent. I understand what it’s like to juggle multiple roles, carry constant responsibility, and still want to show up well for the people who matter most. One thing I say often is “work on yourself first.” It’s one of the few things we actually have control over even when we feel as though we don't, and it’s also the thing we tend to put off. We’re busy, we’re juggling everything, and before we know it, we’re stuck in patterns that feel frustrating and hard to break. No judgment here. I get it. I’ve been working with individuals and families as a therapist since 2018, with a background in healthcare prior to that, and I’ve spent my career serving the Fort Worth community I grew up in. I take a solution-focused, strengths-based approach, which means we’ll focus on what’s already working, build on your strengths, and create practical steps that actually move things forward.

Dr. Nina Enriquez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing psychotherapy for over 13 years. I received my doctorate from USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work. You will find I am a pretty laid back individual yet I will challenge your awareness to reflect and learn why we behave the way we do. This helps to create positive change. I work with individuals of all ages. I provide individual, family, and couples therapy sessions. I specialize in the area of grief, loss, traumatic grief and traumatic bereavement. We will all experience loss in our lives. Loss of health, lifestyle, divorce, a break-up, self-image, identity, trust, faith, death and much more. Grief is a natural response to loss but when we don't know how to manage or cope from grief, we may be at risk of developing a mental health disorder. In therapy, telling your story is vital to growth. Your story is important to express, release and find the root cause that lead to the challenges you have faced in life. Another vital component of therapy is increasing your awareness of the strengths you have. A crisis or stressful event may blind us from strengths we used before to overcome. You will learn different coping strategies and will provide handouts plus worksheets. This is to help you begin to take the steps in self-discovery, reflection, and find the person who were are truly meant to be.
