New to Grow
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 17 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, chronic illness, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, with a focus on helping you better understand yourself, develop effective coping strategies, and make meaningful changes in your life. I draw from CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused, relational, and strengths-based approaches while tailoring therapy to your individual needs and goals.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, what’s most important to you, and what you hope to gain from our work together. You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what we can focus on in therapy, some initial insight into the challenges you’re facing, and a plan for moving forward at a pace that feels right for you.
I bring warmth, empathy, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental approach to my sessions, while also being practical and honest with my clients. I’m skilled at helping people recognize patterns, make connections between their experiences and current challenges, and identify meaningful ways to move forward. I also bring extensive clinical experience and flexibility, allowing me to tailor therapy to each person rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is for clients to feel genuinely understood while also leaving sessions with greater clarity, insight, and tools they can use in their everyday lives.
My ideal client is an adult who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the life they want to be living. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, chronic illness, or a major life transition and are ready to better understand themselves and the patterns that may be holding them back. I especially enjoy working with clients who want a supportive space to process their experiences while also gaining practical tools, greater self-awareness, and the confidence to make meaningful changes in their lives.
My approach to therapy is integrative and individualized, drawing on several evidence-based and relational approaches based on each client’s needs and goals. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility and take action aligned with their values. I also incorporate solution-focused, strengths-based, relational, trauma-informed, and somatic approaches to help clients build on their existing strengths, better understand their patterns and experiences, and develop practical strategies for meaningful and lasting change.
