Maybe you are navigating the tough transition from a career of service back to the civilian world, or perhaps you are simply exhausted trying to balance the demands of work, home, and your own well-being. On the outside, you might be keeping it together, but on the inside, you are looking for a way to finally catch your breath.

These aren't just about talking in circles; they are proven methods to help your brain actually process stuck memories and reframe the heavy narratives holding you back. My ideal clients are those who are ready to roll up their sleeves and do the work. Healing isn't a passive process, and if you are open to trying new strategies and committed to your own growth, we will make an incredible team in building your own shield of strength.
Hi there, I'm Parag.
You were not put here on this earth to suffer. You deserve to live your life with happiness and peace of mind. Mental illness and addiction can rob anyone of these precious gifts. When you turn to family and friends for support, often they don't know what to say or how to help. You can end up feeling very alone in the world.
No one wants to develop mental illness or addictions. You didn't do anything wrong. Feeling emotionally numb, mentally overwhelmed, or having thoughts like "I just don't want to be on this earth anymore" are not things that people willingly choose for themselves. They are illnesses. We often get sick through no fault of our own. Just like some people get diabetes or heart disease, some people get mental illness.
Working over five years in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I have helped patients overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, phobias, relationship problems, and self-esteem issues. My approach is to get to know you as a person and work on addressing what is really going on with your mind and your life right now.
I know getting therapy can be scary, but I will do everything I can to help you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. Give yourself a chance to have peace of mind again.
Experiences of life burdening you? Are you struggling at times to just be and do not know where to start to fix things?
Well, you are not alone! Pain has a way of engulfing your world to where even breathing may be difficult at times. All of these issues start to show up as symptoms which impact your life. You do not need to continue to live like this. There is help! Let’s address those concerns in a safe space. Let’s take time to process your experiences and trauma. Make the call today and let’s start healing!
I help high performers manage anxiety and avoid burnout. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a whole self approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body and spirit. I also integrate mindfulness, yoga and art to help you develop a stronger relationship with yourself.
Whether you're dealing with overwhelm, relationship issues or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help.
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and I'm here to support you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery. As a therapist, I see my role as a collaborative facilitator of change. In addition, I seek to connect all facets of a person's world (the family they grew up in, their gender, faith, culture, education, age, etc.)

It is rewarding to me to help others release stress, improve their functioning, and overall well-being. I strongly believe in using a holistic approach. My group work, individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and parent coaching experience qualifies me to clinically engage, assess, and collaborate with individuals and interdisciplinary teams on goal development, treatment planning, implementation of interventions, and evaluations.

I address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, teen issues, anger and stress management, life transitions, aggression, and ADHD. In addition, I am a retired board-certified Special Education teacher with 15 years of experience.

Occasionally, I may incorporate other techniques, such as role-playing, if they are beneficial for your progress.

During our initial visit, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy and outline what you hope to achieve from our sessions. The first session typically lasts about an hour. You can expect a highly professional, objective, nonjudgmental, and confidential experience.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for ten years now. You will always know yourself better than I can or will.
From a philosophical and theoretical standpoint. I am overwhelming more of an attachment theorist, and have been known to use existentialism from time to time to help make sense of something. I guess the question that remains though is; can a butterfly flap it's wings in Brazil and cause a tornado in Kentucky, or are we all simply just products of our childhood and mirrors of our parents traumas?
The duality of life.
Attachment Theory vs. Chaos Theory. Both have value. I digress.
My goal is to provide a petridish in which you can explore your self. Safe. Contained. Yet completely in your control. The paradox being, you likely already have what you need. I'll sit with you while you find it. I can give you my clinical opinion, or diagnosis, and recommendations along the way as well if you'd like that. I can just sit and listen. I can play devils advocate. My job is to listen, empower, observe, and provide feedback when requested.
I work with mothers and caregivers — including teachers and professionals who support children — who may feel overwhelmed, stretched thin, or unsure of who they are while caring for others. Together, we explore identity changes, emotional stress, and the pressures of caregiving, creating space for clarity, healing, and a stronger connection to self.
I help people who feel overwhelmed, overstimulated, stressed or burned out. I support clients in making sense of their emotions, shifting unhelpful thought patterns, and building tools to help them feel better. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University and am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
With 25 years of clinical experience, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where adult clients feel heard, understood, and empowered in their healing process. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and trauma using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Our work starts with individualized treatment planning and building coping strategies, followed by exploring and working through unhelpful thoughts and past experiences that continue to influence current emotions, behaviors, and relationships. This process supports greater insight, emotional regulation, and meaningful, lasting change.

Not sure if you could use some help navigating life's challenges? Let's talk about the kind of support I can provide you. Bock a session with me to see if we're a good fit and how we can help you have more peace.

At the Child & Adult Behavior Center, we help both adults and children, as well as parents.
For adults, we help you find ways to cope with stress, anxiety, loss and depression. Not only talking through and understanding, but also concrete "what to do about it" coping skills, lead to calmer, more stable emotions and relationships. We find cognitive behavioral therapy very useful, and within that, learning the skills of mindfulness, a form of in-the-moment meditative thinking, to calm and focus the mind when emotions overtake. This fosters a new way of viewing and handling stressful situations as they arise.
For children's therapy, we work with you, and with your child. Parents' feedback is a critical part of helping children feel and do better. We help you with parent-child interactions to find your way as you navigate the seas of child behavior. Our specializations are the treatment for Aspergers/autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, emotional self regulation, the behavioral and emotional aspects of sensory issues, anxiety and depression. Our special programs also treat a wide range of neuroatypical, developmentally challenged children. Neuro-typical parent-child relationships, family relations, and parenting issues for all children and teens are also our focus. We help - you help your child - with ideas and techniques to put into action. Ideas that can greatly reduce the stress and storm of being a parent in the trenches. Peace in the home is possible!
