New to Grow
Starting therapy can feel like a daunting step, but once you connect with a therapist, your healing journey can truly begin. A key component of my approach is establishing rapport with clients, creating a space where they feel comfortable addressing challenging and painful subjects. I believe that the strength of the therapeutic relationship is one of the most crucial elements in helping individuals thrive in therapy and reach their goals.
Starting counseling can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to have a mix of emotions—nervousness, curiosity, even hope. Your first session is a space just for you, where you can begin to share your story at your own pace, without pressure or judgment. During this time, we’ll get to know each other. I’ll ask some gentle questions to better understand what brings you in, your goals, and what support looks like for you. You’re always in control of what you choose to share, and we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and valued. This is the beginning of a collaborative journey—one where we work together to help you gain insight, build coping skills, and move toward the life you want.
My greatest strengths as a therapist lie in my ability to create a genuine, safe, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly seen and heard. I take a person-centered approach, meeting each individual where they are and honoring their unique experiences, values, and pace of growth. I integrate evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also identifying strengths and building practical tools for meaningful change. In working with trauma, I utilize approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients process distressing experiences in a way that feels safe, structured, and effective. My goal is to support clients in reducing emotional distress while fostering a greater sense of control and healing. I strive to balance empathy with gentle guidance—supporting clients while also helping them build insight, resilience, and accountability. My approach is collaborative, empowering clients to take an active role in their healing process and to move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Life’s challenges can feel heavy—but healing is possible. I specialize in helping individuals move through anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and difficult life experiences with clarity and confidence. Together, we’ll work to understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns, and build tools that support lasting change. Using evidence-based therapies such as CBT, ACT, DBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Brainspotting, ART- Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and EMDR, I help clients break old cycles and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and responding—so life feels more manageable and fulfilling. I work with individuals navigating stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and self-esteem challenges. My approach goes beyond coping—I help clients heal at the root. I’m trained in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), EMDR, and Brainspotting, powerful, evidence-based methods that support deep emotional processing and lasting relief from trauma.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my counseling practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns and work on replacing them with more balanced, realistic ones. As your thinking shifts, it often leads to improved emotions and healthier choices in daily life.
