Hi! I’m Jimmy Secoy, a Licensed Professional Counselor. My work is grounded in the belief that people aren’t meant to go through life’s hardest moments alone. Therapy, to me, is a place where you get to slow down, breathe, and be fully heard — without judgment and without pressure to “have it all together.” Clients often describe me as accepting, approachable, and empathetic. I bring a calm presence to the room, but I’m also not afraid to gently challenge patterns that keep you stuck. My goal is to help you understand yourself more clearly and build the tools you need to move forward with confidence.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will identify what encouraged you to begin therapy, current struggles, things that are going well, and strategies and goals to help you become who you so strongly want to be.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients can expect a calm, grounded space, honest but compassionate feedback, practical tools you can use outside the session, a therapist who listens deeply and remembers the details. Clients can also expect humor and humanity when it’s helpful and a steady guide when things feel overwhelming I’m not here to “fix” you — I’m here to walk with you while you grow.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Together, we can work to identify challenges and create solutions to help achieve a well-rounded balance in every aspect of life. Individuals with concerns such as low self-esteem, struggles with self-acceptance, or working through symptoms of depression, anxiety, or other concerns, can use mindfulness and coping skills that will assist them in setting goals for therapy that are important to them.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and person‑centered approaches. I work well with individuals who are navigating anxiety and stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, chemical dependency concerns, and identity, purpose, and self‑esteem. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a collaboration. You bring your lived experience; I bring clinical training and a grounded, compassionate perspective. Together, we figure out what healing looks like for you.
