LCSW, 7 years of experience
New to Grow
Hello, I’m Stacey Anne Charles-Polycarpe, a bilingual (English/Creole) Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida and Texas. For over 9 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting adults, adolescents, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with concerns such as depression, anxiety, self-esteem, codependency, parenting, relationships, and trauma—and my goal is always to provide a safe, compassionate space where healing and growth can begin.
In your first session with me, we will take time to get to know each other and understand your unique concerns, goals, and experiences. I will ask questions to learn more about your background and what brought you to therapy, and together we will begin to explore ways to create positive change. My approach is compassionate and nonjudgmental, providing a safe space for you to share openly, start building self-awareness, and begin your journey toward healing and growth.
I use a compassionate and flexible approach, drawing from cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapies while adapting to the unique needs of each client. I am trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, motivational interviewing, play therapy, and hold certification in Infant Mental Health–Attachment Therapy.
I am best positioned to support women who may be struggling with self-esteem, codependency, and relationship challenges, as well as new mothers navigating the transitions and emotional demands of motherhood. I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma who feel overwhelmed by life’s challenges but are motivated to find healing and growth. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate space where you can build confidence, strengthen self-worth, and move toward becoming your best self.
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that contribute to emotional distress. My approach is collaborative and practical, guiding clients to develop healthier thinking, coping strategies, and behaviors that support positive change. I adapt CBT techniques to fit each person’s unique needs, creating a structured yet compassionate space where clients can practice new skills and see meaningful progress in their daily lives.
My humanistic approach to therapy focuses on understanding and valuing you as a whole person. I create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly. Together, we work to foster self-awareness, personal growth, and self-acceptance, helping you move toward becoming your best self at your own pace.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage intense emotions, improve relationships, and develop practical skills for coping with stress. My approach focuses on teaching mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective interpersonal strategies, all within a compassionate and supportive environment. I tailor DBT techniques to each client’s unique needs, helping them build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I use a Solution-Focused approach to help clients identify their strengths and work toward practical solutions for the challenges they face. This approach emphasizes what is working well in your life and builds on your existing skills to create meaningful change. Together, we focus on clear, achievable goals, helping you move forward with confidence and a sense of empowerment.
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop mindfulness, self-compassion, and psychological flexibility. This approach encourages you to accept difficult thoughts and feelings while clarifying your values and taking meaningful action toward the life, you want. Together, we work to build resilience, reduce struggle with unwanted emotions, and create a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
