# Welcome to The Unraveling Room. For more than 25 years, I have worked in community mental health, crisis intervention, and hospital-based psychiatric practice. I've learned something along the way: **People are complicated.** I'm comfortable there. Maybe your story includes trauma, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorders, chronic pain, complex medical conditions, or functional seizures (PNES). Maybe you've collected diagnoses, medications, specialists, and years of therapy—and still feel that no one quite understands the whole story. **You are not a diagnosis.** And you are not a problem waiting for the right therapeutic technique. You are a story. I don't fear your anger. Your intensity. Your contradictions. Your messy history. Or the part of your story you've been afraid to say out loud. **Bring it.** I am an active therapist. I listen deeply, but I also ask questions. I notice patterns. I make connections. I challenge when I believe it matters. We may laugh. We may work on practical skills. And sometimes we will sit together with something neither of us can fix. Medication can be an important tool. Medical care matters. When appropriate, I will collaborate with your psychiatric or medical providers. But **the relationship matters.** Twenty-five years of experience cannot replace what happens between two people in a therapy room. And I am not the therapist for everyone. If you want someone to mostly listen, I may not be your therapist. But if you want someone willing to enter the labyrinth with you—to ask difficult questions, follow unexpected turns, and stay when things get uncomfortable—we might fit. Our lives are patterns woven from countless threads. Some we chose. Some were handed to us. Some held us together. Some became knots. **We don't unravel you.** We unravel the pattern. **Bring your story. Bring the threads.** Let's see where they lead.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for ten years now. You will always know yourself better than I can or will. From a philosophical and theoretical standpoint. I am overwhelming more of an attachment theorist, and have been known to use existentialism from time to time to help make sense of something. I guess the question that remains though is; can a butterfly flap it's wings in Brazil and cause a tornado in Kentucky, or are we all simply just products of our childhood and mirrors of our parents traumas? The duality of life. Attachment Theory vs. Chaos Theory. Both have value. I digress. My goal is to provide a petridish in which you can explore your self. Safe. Contained. Yet completely in your control. The paradox being, you likely already have what you need. I'll sit with you while you find it. I can give you my clinical opinion, or diagnosis, and recommendations along the way as well if you'd like that. I can just sit and listen. I can play devils advocate. My job is to listen, empower, observe, and provide feedback when requested.

You might find yourself saying yes when you want to say no, or feeling pulled in different directions, unsure how to move forward. Perhaps you’re navigating difficult relationships, caregiving responsibilities, or a season of life that feels heavier than expected. You don’t have to do it alone. Hi, I'm David. I'm a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervision Designation (LISW-S), and I believe therapy works best when you can show up as yourself without feeling judged, analyzed, or expected to have everything figured out. My approach is warm, straightforward, and collaborative. I enjoy working with adults who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, burned out, or simply trying to make sense of where they are in life and where they want to go next. Rather than telling you what you should do, I'll work along side you to better understand what's happening, identify what may be getting in your way, and find practical changes that fit your life. I value authenticity in the therapeutic relationship. You can expect compassion and respect, but also honest conversation, thoughtful questions, and a little humor when appropriate. Therapy doesn't have to feel cold or clinical- it can be a place where you feel understood while also doing meaningful work toward the life you want.

Life doesn't always go according to plan. Relationships change, careers shift, people we love get sick or die, and sometimes we simply reach a point where the way we've been handling things isn't working anymore. I'm Jason, a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation (LISW-S) in Ohio. I work with adults and couples navigating relationship difficulties, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, major life transitions, and periods of feeling stuck or uncertain about what comes next. My style is conversational, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy works best when you can show up as yourself and talk openly without feeling judged or analyzed. You won't find a lot of clinical jargon or a one-size-fits-all approach in our sessions. Instead, we'll work to understand what's happening in your life, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and identify changes that actually make sense for you. I especially enjoy working with people who may not be completely sure about therapy—or who know something needs to change but aren't quite sure where to begin. You don't need to arrive with everything figured out. Whether you're struggling in a relationship, dealing with loss, facing a major transition, or simply realizing you don't want to keep feeling the way you've been feeling, my goal is to provide a comfortable space where you can be honest, gain perspective, and better understand yourself and what you need.

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with my Master's in Social Work in 2012. I am currently independently licensed in Ohio and North Carolina. Each setting has helped me grow as a provider and a person. One commonality from each experience is that we are all human and we all need support throughout our lives, and there is no shame in this. I am here to provide you with a safe space where you can speak openly and honestly. I want you to feel supported, seen and heard as you share personal details of your life. Over the past 11 years, my work with adults, children, and families has been a true privilege. I have had the honor of listening to people's stories, I've watched people's hidden strengths come to light, and I've walked with my clients as they learn what works for them. Together we find the clarity and the internal resources needed to meet their challenges.

PLEASE DO NOT SCHEDULE YOUR OWN APPOINTMENTS. I HAVE TWO SCHEDULES THAT DON'T SHOW. IT CAUSES DOUBLE BOOKING AND I MAY HAVE TO MOVE WHAT YOU SCHEDULE TO A DIFFERENT DAY AND TIME. MESSAGE ME FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND WE WILL SCHEDULE. In life I have experienced many things that led me to start a private practice to help others gain their personal power back. I know how the struggle affects a person and with the skills that I have acquired over thirty years of work I know how to help someone be successful. There is no subject or experience that I won't or haven't broached. If I don't know how to do it, I will find out how to make you successful. I prefer that you contact me directly to schedule as I have 2 schedules that don't sync. PLEASE contact me first. It is possible if you schedule an appointment I would have to change it if I was already booked. Please call me directly and we will schedule so I don't have to reschedule the appointment that you schedule with me. I appreciate your patience and cooperation in the matter.

Hi :) I imagine you are here because things are not great. Perhaps, you would like to improve or change something, or maybe you just want to feel better or more comfortable in your skin. I know it can be scary, but I believe it’s also brave. It takes courage to admit that you would like life to be different. I believe together we can get you to a place where life isn't so hard. During my 19 year career, I have been fortunate to have met wonderful people and together we have grown. I view the therapeutic process through a person-centered lens and as something we do together. I believe it is important to celebrate the small successes, and focus on progress, rather than perfection.

Hey hey! I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker practicing in Arizona and Ohio. I strive to be effective in session, equip clients with practical skills, and make the most of our time together. My clinical practice is shaped not only by years of professional experience but also by my personal journey. I obtained my Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of populations and communities—from providing counseling and case management, to supporting individuals who are HIV-positive or newly diagnosed, to working with homeless families, and offering emotional support to dialysis patients and others navigating medical conditions. I have provided therapy to individuals, couples, and groups working through challenges such as communication issues, trauma, self‑esteem, anxiety, and major life adjustments. My goal is to create a supportive, grounded, and collaborative space where clients feel empowered to grow at their own pace.
