About me

Reaching out is a meaningful first step— I am glad you are here. For me, therapy is about creating a genuine connection where we can talk openly, make sense of things and figure out what comes next based on what matters to you. After 25 years working in behavioral health with adults from many different backgrounds, I've learned there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. I value genuine connection, collaboration and even a little humor when it fits the moment. I also understand that life doesn't always follow the plan we had in mind and sometimes we need support navigating the chapters we didn't expect.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and discussing what brings you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, personal history, strengths and goals so I can better understand your unique experiences and what you'd like to achieve. It is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of my approach. I believe therapy works best when there is a good fit between therapist and client.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, authenticity, humor and more than 25 years of experience to our sessions. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and practical. Drawing from both extensive clinical experience and my own evolving life experiences as a wife, mother, daughter, and empty nester. I offer a relatable perspective with many adults navigating life's challenges and transitions. Clients often appreciate my straightforward, down-to-earth style and ability to balance empathy with practical guidance. I believe therapy should provide both support and direction, helping people gain insight, build on their strengths and navigate challenges with greater confidence.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My professional and personal experiences have given me a deep appreciation for resilience, adaption, and life's unexpected challenges. I am especially well-suited to work with transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses, as well as adults facing significant life changes. Whether you're adjusting to a new career, retirement, health issues, changes in relationships, caregiving responsibilities or questions about the next chapter, I provide practical support and guidance to help you move forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

While CBT is one of the primary approaches I use, I tailor treatment to each client's specific needs by integrating other evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment, mindfulness and person-centered approach.
