Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Stepping into therapy for the first time can feel like a lot, so I like to keep things as straightforward and relaxed as possible. My goal for our first meeting isn't to quiz you or fill out endless forms—it's just to get to know you and make sure you feel heard.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

With over 30 years of experience in mental health and addiction, I provide a seasoned yet easy-going space for adults and teenagers navigating complex trauma, sudden loss, and emotional dysregulation. My approach is specifically designed for those facing major life transitions—such as career shifts, retirement, or adapting to new physical limitations—who are ready to move past just managing symptoms toward true integration and a reconstructed sense of identity. By using evidence-based tools like EMDR, DBT, and IFS in a supportive and transparent way, I aim to remove the mystery from therapy and lower the anxiety that often comes with starting this journey. My goal is to offer a low-pressure partnership where we work together to process your experiences and build the lasting resilience you need to move forward with confidence.

My treatment methods

EMDR

Trained in 2020. I have used this as a regular part of treating clients. This helps clients process and integrate traumatic memories, effectively reducing the distress and physiological arousal associated with a past experience.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

To help clients with mindfulness, emotional regulation, to manage distressful events, and improve interpersonal relationships.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps clients recognize how their thoughts and emotions directly drive their behavior. Often, our thinking can become clouded by cognitive distortions—unhelpful patterns that lead to problematic outcomes. By identifying and addressing these distortions, we can shift perspectives to improve behavioral outcomes and strengthen emotional regulation.

Integrative

Using a variety of methods to help the client manage symptoms.
