New to Grow
As a Christ-centered therapist in Ohio, I specialize in supporting individuals through life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth. With 16+ years of experience, I offer compassionate, faith-informed counseling that honors each client's unique journey. I help individuals address depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and personal development, providing a supportive environment for exploring challenges, developing coping strategies, and achieving meaningful transformation.
Our first session will consist of me asking questions to better get to know who you are and what your life looks like. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask me any questions and for you to get to know who I am. Information gathering and clarification of possible client issues will be explored and discussed.
I look at counseling as a ministry to help people like myself who need active listening, support, guidance, and perspective.
My ideal client would be someone who is seeking purpose in his or her life or is interested or curious about spirituality from a Christian perspective. I would love to work with individuals from all walks of life who are confused, have low self worth, are anxious, depressed, and who would like someone to help them navigate through unwanted or addictive behaviors.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I would like to demonstrate warmth and acceptance to each individual I am allowed to work with. This can be accomplished through unconditional positive regard and mutual respect within the client/counselor relationship.
Christian Counseling
I offer faith based counseling as wanted by each client. My desire is to incorporate spirituality (Christian faith) into my sessions through sharing my perspective on and understanding of faith while conversing within sessions. Prayer is offered for my clients.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
By discussing how our thoughts impact our behaviors, CBT is sometimes utilized within the counseling sessions. I attempt to assist specific clients with seeing how certain irrational thoughts can cause unwanted behaviors.
