Hi, I’m Jonny. I’ve been practicing as a clinician in Western North Carolina since 2016, beginning in community mental health with children and families before transitioning to private practice with adults. That background shaped my core belief that mental healthcare should be accessible, humane, and deeply personal. In my practice, I offer a warm, collaborative space where we balance practical, incremental steps with your bigger-picture goals for meaningful growth. I’d love to connect and talk about what we can accomplish together.

I hold a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University as of early 2022. I have been serving children, adolescents, adults, and families for the past year and have some previous experience working in a substance abuse facility. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina as approved by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (NCBLCMHC). Currently I also hold a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate Level (LCAS-28793) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (Certificate # 1571143). Obtained status of Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern from the state of Florida (License # IMH25227). I am also EMDR Trained working toward certification. Counseling Background: As your counselor, I am here to support you in making meaning, creating comfort, and uncovering resources to help you be your best self. Taking an evidenced-based, client-centered, and existentially-informed approach, I aim to provide a safe and supportive space where we can collaborate and work at your own pace to help you reach your goals. I work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds on issues including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, grief and loss, career transitions, and other mental health and life concerns. Along with the many benefits of counseling come risks. Since counseling often involves discussing unpleasant or uncomfortable aspects of your life, you may experience feelings such as sadness, guilt, anger, frustration, loneliness, shame, and/or helplessness. Counseling allows you to process your feelings and often leads to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and relief from feelings of distress. There are no guarantees of what you will experience. In order for you to achieve the most benefit from counseling, you will have to be engaged in your therapy sessions, committed, and do work outside of therapy to meet your personal goals.

My name is Jessica Scales and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC # 10501) in North Carolina. I am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP). I have been counseling for over 13 years, with children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 18-30) being my specialty areas. I enjoy helping younger children make sense of the world around them and figure out how to navigate the big emotions they experience daily. With adolescents, I feel it is important to make them feel heard and have a safe space to process past or present trauma, peer-related issues, family stressors, and personal changes and emotions. For young adults, it is important for them to have a safe space to explore life transitions and the emotional and mental stressors or effects that may accompany these changes. I believe in working with each individual in a holistic way, considering all areas of their lives: emotional, physical, spiritual, familial support, personal, environmental, financial, and social. I utilize interventions based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing while incorporating play-based care, faith-based care, and Expressive Arts techniques. The counseling space is the space for individuals to feel safe, heard, and able to process any life circumstances, big or small, without judgment and with unconditional positive regard. I intend to create this safe space for healing and each individual's counseling journey.

Hi there, I am Jen. Do you want to improve the quality of your life? Do you want to make long-lasting changes that improve areas of your life such as work and relationships? I empower clients to overcome the daily challenges of dealing with such issues as depression (or other mood disorders), anxiety, PTSD/Trauma, and grief. I'm here to help clients (ages 10 & up) get back to a place in their life where they feel more balanced, secure and to a place where they feel happy with their overall quality of life. I do believe in a holistic approach that focuses on the mind-body-spirit connection. I work with clients to identify treatment goals at their 1st appointment, if possible and I also like to assign therapeutic "homework" since this helps clients practice and eventually acquire the skills they need to feel better about themselves and their lives. No matter the issue, I'm here to help. Seeking therapy is a brave thing to do and I will provide a safe space to help you heal and grow. In our sessions, I will provide empathy, active listening and humor to help you overcome what is troubling you. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Traumatic experiences are, unfortunately, far more common than many people realize—and their impact can linger in ways that affect how we think, feel, and relate to others. For 16 years I have specialized in helping individuals process and heal from various types of trauma, including interpersonal violence and sexual assault, childhood abuse, and religious trauma. I also provide support for those caring for loved ones with complex medical needs, recognizing the unique form of secondary trauma, chronic stress, and emotional exhaustion that caregiving can bring. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in trauma-informed therapy. I incorporate practical tools for nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and building resilience, while always honoring your pace and your story. You can expect a space where you are believed, respected, and supported. Healing is possible. Whether you are working through past trauma, navigating the challenges of caregiving, or trying to rebuild trust and stability, there is hope. I would be honored to walk alongside you- not as someone who has all the answers, but as someone who can help you make sense of what you’re feeling and move toward relief.

I am a multilingual (English, Spanish, & Portuguese) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with clinical experience working with athletes, college students, children, adolescents, and adults, including 2SLGBTQIA+, Latinx, immigrant, and foster/adopted parenting communities. I presently most consistently work with clients who have OCD and/or anxiety-related disorders, a history of developmental (complex) trauma, and/or high-achieving professionals, especially healthcare and other service workers. As an endurance athlete, fellow athletes have also found the blend of my clinical experience along with lived experience in athletics, as well as embodiment of the athletic mindset, helpful in understanding them and their presenting concerns. I work with clients individually, dyadically, and in groups. I hope to convey warmth, compassion, and non-judgmental curiosity to every client with whom I am honored to enter into a clinical partnership. Meeting you where you are at, my aim is to provide a safe and confidential environment in which we can collaboratively explore factors that may be impeding your ability to live an engaged and meaningful life on your terms, as well as ways to overcome them. My responsibility as a clinician is to help you feel seen, heard, and understood after every session and more deeply connected to your mind, body, and heart. Recognizing that healing does not occur in a vacuum, I approach my clinical work through an inclusive liberation-focused lens that acknowledges systems of oppression, validates their impact on you, and champions your identities with respect to gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion and spirituality, neurodivergence, body expression and body size, and dis/ability. Navigating the intersection of our respective individual identities through open dialogue, with careful consideration of privileged and historically marginalized identities, is of the highest importance to me.

Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based out of North Carolina. I received my Masters degree from Arizona State University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I believe that working together in a safe, non-judgmental environment can create space for the healing you deserve. In my early career I worked with Child Protective Services to support the reunification of children with their biological parents. I then moved to North Carolina to continue work with keeping families together that had suffered trauma and/or behavioral issues. From there, I worked as an individual therapist working with teenagers and adults. During that time, I led groups that focused on education for women who experienced anxiety on a daily basis. Prior to the Grow Therapy platform, I worked to support adults in crisis who needed immediate psychiatric support.

Hi, my name is Eva. I have been practicing in the mental health and substance-abuse field for almost 30 years and during that time I have come to learn a lot about what it takes to help a person move from one place to another and it has also taught me how to move from one place to another so that I too can live my best life . I believe that we all need help from time to time and someone to help us see clearly when we have difficulty seeing things clearly ourselves. My best practice of therapy is being eclectic, which means in simple terms that I use whatever technique I need to to reach my client wherever they are at. This includes all best practices that are evidence-based to work with women, young adults, men and children who all have a common need to feel heard and supported. I specialize in a variety of treatment modalities that include trauma, substance abuse, anxiety/ depression, and other mood/mental disorders, and I desire to help all my clients improve their current life situation so that they can begin to live their best lives.

Hi, my name is Luz, my pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I worked as a teacher for over 15 years before making the journey into a community mental health career. I have experience in mobile crisis response, trauma, forensic mental health concerns. To explain who I am as a therapist, I reflect back to my role as an educator. In the classroom, there was a movement for the teacher to be less of a “sage on the stage” (teacher-centered approach) and more of a “guide on the side” (student-centered). To me, therapy is a lesson plan for a learning experience. It's a guide to develop what the client needs to learn in order to cope with whatever barriers are showing up in the client's life, whether that barrier is an internal issue, such as self-image, or how to cope with work stress. My therapeutic perspective is to provide empathetic, non-judgmental, compassionate guidance and support in an atmosphere of respect and safety while allowing clients to be the experts of their lives, much like “a co-pilot, a sous chef, or an assistant manager” of a client-therapist relationship. I use solution-focused elements to help move toward desired goals, cognitive behavioral techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and motivational interviewing to help gain understanding and clarity. Outside of traditional therapy, I enjoy the practices of mindfulness, guided meditation, aromatherapy, and Reiki. Finding a therapist that's the right fit can be a challenging task, but taking that first step towards a healthier you is worth it. I look forward to working with you to help break down those barriers and make progress in areas that most matter to you.

In addition to anxiety, I also have experience with a variety of other mental health issues, such as ADHD, depression, mood regulation, grief, trauma, career and education transitions, and anger management. In my career, I've worked with families and children from diverse backgrounds in a range of settings, including in-home therapy, school-based and office-based outpatient counseling, and therapy groups for children in elementary, middle, and high school. I hope to continue making a positive impact on the lives of those I work with and to help them navigate life's challenges with more ease and compassion. If you're struggling with anxiety or any other mental health issue, I'm here to help and support you.

Life can feel heavy sometimes — especially when you’re the one everyone depends on. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, burnout, trauma, grief, relationship stress, or just feeling emotionally drained, therapy can help you slow down, process what’s going on, and learn healthier ways to cope. My style is warm, supportive, honest, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation, not like you’re being analyzed under a microscope. We’ll laugh when we can, be real about what’s hard, and work together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and emotionally healthy. Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, grief, emotional overwhelm, and major life stressors. I became a therapist because I genuinely care about helping people feel less alone during difficult seasons of life. I’ve always been drawn to understanding people, supporting others through challenges, and helping individuals recognize that healing and growth are possible — even when life feels overwhelming. I believe everyone deserves a space where they can be honest, supported, and reminded that they do not have to carry everything by themselves. Many of my clients are people who are used to holding everything together for everyone else while quietly struggling themselves. They’re exhausted, overthinking everything, emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in survival mode, or feeling disconnected from who they used to be. My therapy style is warm, supportive, relatable, and direct. I’m not the therapist that just nods the entire session while you spiral alone. I believe therapy should be a safe space where you feel genuinely comfortable being honest — without fear of judgment — while also learning practical tools that help in real life.

I'm a middle-aged human who loves to support others along their journeys to greater states of purpose and well-being and who has turned that instinct to help others into a career. I've got experience with working with senior citizens with dementia, people with chronic illnesses and pain, and I've worked in the prison system as a therapist as well as in a gender-affirming care clinic. If I could choose one word to link my broad range of work roles, it would be: advocate.

I am a bilingual psychotherapist, member of the Latine and LGBTQIA+ community who approaches wellness with a holistic view that honors the mind, body, and spirit. I enjoy speaking about the science side of therapy, and how everything impacts our brains and bodies. I also know that not everything always makes sense or has words that can explain what is going on. I enjoy learning, being in nature, and giving animals pets.
