Welcome and congratulations on taking the first step in your healing journey! First, my name is Cherie and I am originally from New York. My journey to becoming a therapist began while serving in the Army and having the opportunity to help Soldiers and their family members with personal issues/concerns. My experience led me to pursue formal schooling and training to be more of a service through therapy and providing much-needed resources to the people in need. This path has been rewarding for me, and being able to experience lives being transformed and people empowered continues to be an honor.
I am a licensed therapist with over 7 years of experience specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), couples counseling, and Christian counseling. My passion is helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, emotional resilience, and purpose.
In my work with individuals, I primarily use CBT to help clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that impact their mood and behavior. I believe in a practical, goal-oriented approach that equips clients with tools they can apply in everyday life, whether they're dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, or life transitions. My sessions are collaborative and supportive, creating a space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
With couples, I focus on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and resolving conflict in ways that foster deeper connection. I draw from evidence-based methods like the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy, tailoring the process to fit each couple’s unique dynamic.
For those who desire a faith-based approach, I also offer Christian counseling. I integrate biblical principles, prayer, and spiritual reflection into the therapeutic process when appropriate. This allows for holistic healing that honors both emotional and spiritual needs, offering hope and a stronger sense of purpose.
What sets my practice apart is my commitment to creating a warm, judgment-free environment where real change can take place. I see therapy as a partnership—one that honors your story, builds on your strengths, and supports you in becoming the person or couple you’re called to be.
Whether you’re facing a specific struggle or simply seeking to grow, I’m here to walk with you through the process. Healing is possible, and you don’t have to go through it alone.
Welcome! My name is Tammy and I am dedicated to supporting women through some of life’s most transformative and sometimes overwhelming seasons. I understand how complex and layered our experiences can be. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where you can speak freely, process your emotions and feel seen and heard without judgment.
If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed or uncertain about what comes next, know you don’t have to go through it alone. Let’s start a conversation and take the first step together.

I was raised in Memphis, TN and attended college in Nashville, TN where I received a BS degree. I got married while in college. We moved to Raleigh, NC after graduation. We've been married over 40 years. We have eight adopted children.
I began working for the USPS once we moved to NC. After working there for 10 years, I realized that I wanted to change careers and fulfill the dream of helping others in a more practical way. I took a break from work and obtained a MA in Counseling. After receiving my LPC license, I worked in various settings within the counseling field. I have worked in Child Protective Services, worked for a couple of mental health clinics, held a private practice, worked in crisis intervention for 10 years in a hospital setting, returned to the clinic setting, and have once again opened a private practice. I am licensed as a LCMHC and LCAS in NC.

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read my biography. I am so happy you went with your instinct to start counseling. I have been a Therapist for over 15 years and my specialization is marriage and family therapy. I have over 30 years experience working with people in one capacity or another. I was a substitute teacher at an alternative high school; I was a silver star rescue diver and an EMT-Intermediate; and, I had worked at a psychiatric hospital for people ages 12 through 80 as well in a private psychiatric office. These few noted experiences have led to my capacity to be an empathetic Therapist while helping others achieve their own goals using their own strengths.
Hi, I’m Emay Wessner, a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in working with veterans and individuals who have experienced trauma, helping them process difficult experiences and move toward healing. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth—I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and supported.
I’m trained in evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). These tools give us structure when it’s helpful, but I always tailor treatment to your unique needs and pace. Whether you’re feeling stuck in past experiences, navigating a life transition, or wanting to strengthen your relationships, we’ll work together to build skills, resilience, and confidence.
At the heart of my work is the belief that change is possible, and that you don’t have to go through it alone. My goal is to create a safe space where you can share openly, gain insight, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want.
Hi there!
A lot of people think therapy is a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity to experience each other as real people. My clients know that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve your goals, learn more about yourself, and understand how your mind and brain work. While progressing along this path, you will enjoy the process of learning about yourself and perceiving yourself in new ways. My experience is that therapy doesn't need to be painful. I know it can be intimidating to call a therapist, but I hope you will call me and see how I can help you.
My background is in neuropsychology, so I enjoy helping people understand how their brains work, in order to find the best way to manage anxiety, depression, and just plain dealing with life!
The population I serve includes adults, adolescents, and families. I provide counseling in both individual and group settings. My theoretical orientation is an eclectic approach that has its main theoretical framework from cognitive behavioral Therapy and combines skills and techniques from reality therapy such as choice theory, WDEP (wants, doing and direction, evaluation, and planning) and solution focused therapy such as miracle question and scaling. Overall I work with the client to improve their thinking pattern in order to improve or change their behaviors, coping with challenges effectively, and create meaning in their lives that honor who they are in the here and now.

I am a professional counselor, consultant, human development and nature healing specialist. I am licensed with the state of North Carolina Board for Licensed Professional Counselors (#6516) and a National Certified Counselor (#229164). I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 1996 and both Masters and Specialists degrees of Education in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida in August of 2000.
My continuing ed & training focus has mainly been on trauma and dissociation throughout the last 26 years. The majority of my life experiences have centered around learning as much as I can about trauma and dissociation; how we can increase our awareness in order to increase our "window of realness." We often hear about improving our "window of tolerance" in order to tolerate the ever more increasing demands of our world. By increasing our "Window of realness" we move toward our most authentic selves.
I often use an eclectic approach bringing together a variety of types of therapy to help my clients express what they need to express from the various different developmental levels that traumatic material gets stuck within. For example in one session you may find we start out by talking and end by drawing, playing, or dancing.
Whatever brings you in: trauma, grief, struggling with dissociation, anxiety or depression, it's my hope that by providing a soft place to land, you will feel comfortable enough in your own skin to begin to be curious to explore what's on your mind. You'll feel acknowledged, respected and empowered as an individual, as a human being, with rights and needs, through the compassionate and empathic way that I will relate with you. From, the very first session, you can begin to claim back your power.

Hi. Welcome to my Grow professional profile! Do you ever wonder, "What is going on."? If your inner dialogue is saying, "Yes that's me, exactly, finally somebody who gets it!" I believe that nobody actually has it all together, but that there are those that pretend like they have it all together but inside feel like an imposter making it day by day and those that don't pretend and are also making it day by day. I like spending time with my husband of many many many years and our 3 children, but mostly my dogs. I enthusiastically invite both those who are high functioning and those who are not functioning persons seeking to improve their overall wellbeing. I don't judge whether you are an LSU fan or a North Carolina fan. All can benefit from mental health services. (maybe one group of fans over the other).
My current specific areas of clinical interests are of grief and pregnancy loss of which I constantly explore new treatment approaches and client experiences. I have over 25 years of clinical experience working with diverse classifications of diagnoses, ethnicity, ages, and cultural backgrounds. The most frequent symptoms I can help with are managing ADHD, Depression, Bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, parenting, burnout, insomnia, COVID trauma, grief, and anger. I utilize a mix of CBT and motivational interviewing low key with a fair amount of optimism because CBT helps measure things and motivational interviewing is more people-friendly.
FYI I am an experienced LPC-S licensed by the LA licensed Professional Counselors Board of Examiners 3997. I am also a board approved supervisor in Louisiana. I am a LCMHC in the state of North Carolina (LPC) 19111.
Seeking therapy can feel scary but you're making the right choice. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome the hangups and habits holding you back. Let's work together!

The answer is easy: I profoundly enjoy helping others to find ways to manage life’s challenges, while also supporting them in developing into the best versions of themselves.

I understand that meeting a therapist for the first time can be intimidating, scary and maybe even embarrassing. I completely understand! The first few sessions, I like to build rapport. I want to get to know you as a person while also giving you the same space to get to know me as a therapist. Building rapport can help develop that crucial sense of trust.

Hi! My name is Erin Tucker and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I’ve worked as a social worker for over 20 years, and I’ve been licensed since 2014. With extensive experience as a medical and hospice social worker, I take an eclectic approach to counseling, including solution-focused, strengths-based and cognitive-behavioral therapies, giving me the ability to tailor a treatment plan specific to your needs.
I’m so glad you’ve reached out for support and help, and I hope we’ll be able to meet soon! To that end, I’d like to let you know some things about me and my practice.
I, hopefully like you, have a life and family outside of my work. Because of these responsibilities I must cancel/reschedule sessions more often than is usual. It’s inconvenient and I apologize for the necessity. However, for those clients who choose to move forward with me, I fully extend this same flexibility to them. I will never be upset or feel inconvenienced by your need to cancel or reschedule, even at the last minute.
On a separate note completely, I don’t typically feel comfortable completing paperwork, such as FMLA, short-term disability, etc. for clients.
I look forward to working with you!
I am well-versed in military specific issues, as I contracted at various installations for six years and I have been in private practice in a military community for over 7 years. Most of my clients are activity duty, veterans, and/or spouses of active duty service members. I am EMDR basic trained and use tough skills with anxious and traumatized clients. Most of my clients have relationship issues due to past traumas that have not been processed. I have a strength-based approach, providing support and practical feedback to help clients address personal life challenges. I am a systemic thinker, meaning I view life as a relationship and each individual within the relationship is an integral participant in the "whole" system. Most "individual" or "couple" issues effect the entire family system.
