New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, nonprofit director, and adjunct professor with a background in forensic interviewing and trauma-informed care, particularly with children exposed to abuse, violence, and human trafficking. I have worked in both hospital and child advocacy center settings and have presented nationally on child abuse prevention. As the wife of a pastor and a mother of two, I understand the realities of balancing leadership, family, and personal well-being. I am especially passionate about supporting ministerial leaders and their spouses as they navigate burnout and the demands of service. When I’m not working, I value rest, meaningful travel, and opportunities to recharge—ideally somewhere warm and restorative.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure about what to expect. In our first session, we will get to know each other, review confidentiality, and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences and goals, share how I approach the process, and ensure you have space to ask questions as we discuss next steps together.
One of my greatest strengths is empathy. I approach each client with curiosity rather than judgment, meeting you exactly where you are—whether you feel scared, uncertain, angry, or ashamed. It is important to me that you feel seen, heard, and understood, and that you know you are not alone in your experiences. I strive to create a therapeutic partnership grounded in compassion, connection, and trust.
I work best with young professionals navigating career transitions, as well as adults facing significant life changes who are seeking clarity, direction, and renewed purpose. I also support individuals experiencing career burnout, helping them recover, restore balance, and reconnect with their passion and well-being. Additionally, I enjoy working with ministerial leaders who are navigating the demands of leadership, building resilience, and managing the challenges of leading in difficult seasons and with complex dynamics. I also provide support to adults who are caring for or supporting children exposed to trauma, including abuse, as they process, respond, and navigate these experiences with strength and intention.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we will identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop practical strategies to reframe them, allowing you to respond to life’s challenges with greater clarity, balance, and confidence.
Cognitive Processing (CPT)
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a structured, evidence-based approach I use to support individuals working through trauma. We will gently explore how past experiences may have shaped your beliefs about yourself, others, and the world, and work toward developing more balanced, healing perspectives.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthy relationships. This approach supports you in navigating intense emotions while creating greater stability, self-awareness, and effective coping in your daily life.
Christian Counseling
For clients who desire it, I offer faith-based counseling that integrates spiritual principles and biblical truth into the therapeutic process. This approach allows us to explore your healing and growth through both clinical insight and your personal relationship with God, aligning your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Attachment-based
I use an attachment-based approach to explore how your early relationships and life experiences have shaped the way you connect with others and see yourself. Together, we will identify patterns in relationships, build emotional safety, and strengthen your ability to form secure, healthy connections with yourself and others.
