Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, you can expect a welcoming, relaxed environment where we focus on getting to know you and what brings you to counseling. We will review informed consent/intake together, so you fully understand confidentiality, your rights as a client, and how the counseling process works. I will answer any questions you have and make sure you feel comfortable moving forward. We’ll also begin discussing your goals, current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this is simply the start of building trust and creating a plan that supports your growth and healing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are my ability to create a safe, grounded space while also helping clients move toward measurable change. Clients often share that they feel genuinely heard and understood, yet appropriately challenged in ways that promote growth. What stands out about my approach is the integration of faith-based principles with evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and other modalities. I help clients identify unhealthy thought patterns, develop practical coping tools, and take clear, actionable steps forward. I am compassionate but direct, supportive yet accountable. My goal is not just symptom relief, but lasting transformation—emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve you if you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of who you are in this season of life. If you struggle with negative self-talk, relationship stress, faith questions, past wounds, or navigating family dynamics, you are not alone — and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. If you want practical tools, clear direction, and a space where you can be honest without judgment, we would work well together. I especially connect with teens, young adults, parents, and individuals who want to integrate their faith into the healing process while also using evidence-based strategies to create real change. If your goal is growth, clarity, emotional stability, and a deeper understanding of yourself I would be honored to walk that journey with you.

My treatment methods

Faith based therapy

I integrate Faith-Based Therapy by grounding clinical practice in biblical principles while honoring each client’s spiritual journey and readiness. My approach blends Scripture and spiritual reflection with Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I help clients identify practical, forward-focused goals while also examining and restructuring unhelpful thought patterns through both clinical tools and biblical truth.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize a Person-Centered (Rogerian) approach by creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel deeply heard, understood, and accepted. Rooted in empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard, this method allows clients to explore their thoughts and emotions freely while building self-awareness and confidence. In my practice, I focus on reflective listening and authentic connection, trusting that when clients feel safe and valued, they naturally move toward growth and healing. This approach supports individuals in discovering their own insight, strengthening self-worth, and making meaningful, self-directed changes.
