Hello, I’m a licensed therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals build healthier, more fulfilling lives. I specialize in practical, evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, IFS and EMDR to help you better understand and manage your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My goal is to provide both insight and actionable strategies that support meaningful, lasting change and healthier relationships. I work with clients who are ready to grow as they navigate stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of your next steps, but also motivated to better understand yourself and create a more balanced, intentional life. I value a collaborative process where we work together to identify patterns, build awareness, and develop tools that fit your unique needs and goals. My approach is warm, supportive, and results-focused. I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and challenged in a productive way. Together, we’ll strengthen your ability to regulate emotions, improve communication, and respond more effectively to life’s challenges. Over time, this work can help you build confidence, deepen relationships, and move through life with greater clarity, resilience, and peace.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, you can expect a calm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel unsure about where to begin. My role is to help guide the conversation in a way that feels comfortable and supportive for you. We’ll start by talking about what brings you in, what you’ve been experiencing recently, and what you’d like to see change or improve in your life. You’re free to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable—there’s no pressure to open up all at once. As we talk, I’ll ask thoughtful and intentional questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and any patterns that may be contributing to what you’re experiencing. This might include discussing your relationships, stressors, coping strategies, and important life events. At the same time, I’ll begin helping you make sense of what’s going on, offering insights and perspectives that can bring clarity to your situation. My goal is to create a balanced conversation where you feel heard and understood, while also beginning to see things in a new, more helpful way. This first session is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and how I work. Therapy is most effective when you feel comfortable and connected with your therapist, so it’s important that you have space to ask questions, share any concerns, and decide if this feels like a good fit for you. By the end of our time together, we’ll begin identifying clear goals and outlining next steps based on what matters most to you. You’ll leave with greater insight into your thoughts and experiences, a clearer sense of direction, and practical tools or strategies you can start using right away. Most importantly, you’ll know that you don’t have to navigate things alone—you’ll have a supportive, collaborative partner in your growth moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What tends to stand out most about my therapeutic approach is how intentionally I combine clinical expertise with a grounded, practical focus on real-life change. I don’t stay only at the level of insight, I help clients turn awareness into consistent emotional and behavioral shifts they can actually experience in their day-to-day lives. Therapy with me not only involves understanding why something is happening, it also involves learning how to respond differently in meaningful, sustainable ways. With decades of experience working with individuals and couples, I draw from evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and Internal Family Systems. At the same time, I don’t rely on a one-size-fits-all model. Each session is tailored to the individual, their goals, and what will be most helpful in that moment. Clients often experience me as both warm and direct, creating a space that feels supportive and safe, while also offering honest feedback that encourages real growth and forward movement. I specialize in helping people strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication, and break patterns that keep them stuck in stress, reactivity, or disconnection. Many clients begin therapy feeling overwhelmed or uncertain about how to move forward, and through our work, they gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of stability. What makes me a strong fit is my ability to meet people where they are, quickly identify core patterns, and guide them toward meaningful, lasting change in how they think, relate, and live.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them. In my practice, I guide clients to clarify their core values and take committed actions that align with those values, even in the presence of discomfort. I incorporate mindfulness exercises, cognitive defusion techniques, and values-based goal setting to support lasting behavior change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that influence their emotions and behaviors. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to develop practical coping strategies, restructure negative thinking, and build healthier behavioral habits. I incorporate tools such as thought records, behavioral experiments, and skills training to promote measurable and lasting change.

Christian Counseling

For my clients who request it, I integrate Christian counseling into my practice by incorporating biblical principles and a faith-based perspective alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I work with clients to explore how their beliefs, values, and spiritual practices can support healing, growth, and decision-making. When appropriate and aligned with the client’s preferences, I may include prayer, scripture reflection, and discussions of faith to strengthen resilience and meaning.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and reduce the distress associated with traumatic memories and past experiences. In my practice, I follow a structured protocol that includes history-taking, preparation, and guided bilateral stimulation to support adaptive reprocessing. I tailor pacing and resourcing strategies to each client to ensure safety, stability, and effective integration of new, healthier beliefs.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients understand and build relationships with the different “parts” of themselves that carry emotions, beliefs, and protective roles. In my practice, I guide clients in accessing their core Self and working compassionately with parts such as protectors and exiles to promote healing and internal balance.
