I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have 5 years of experience as a School Social Worker. I graduated from Indiana University Northwest in 2021 with my master's degree. I am a therapist who believes people are stronger than they give themselves credit for. My passion is helping you find your strength and strategies to meet your goals. I keep things warm, supportive, and will never make you feel judged for what you bring to me. I am here to support you and help you navigate to where you want to be. Outside of work, I run a small farm with pigs, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, and a garden, so my life involves a fair amount of dirt and a lot of animals with strong opinions. I also love to fish, do woodwork, cook from scratch, and make soy candles. Being in nature is how I reset, and I am happy to talk about what helps you reset too.

Hello, I’m Dr. Leslie Capehart, an LMHC with over 25 years of experience across clinical settings, private practice, and academia. At some point, most people find themselves feeling stuck—whether it’s anxiety, depression, relationship stress, or just a sense that something isn’t working but you can’t quite put your finger on it. It can feel overwhelming, frustrating, and at times like you’re repeating the same patterns without understanding why. That’s where I come in. My approach is straightforward, collaborative, and focused on helping you actually move forward. I’ll support you, but I’ll also challenge you to look more closely at the patterns, assumptions, and blind spots that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we’ll identify what’s no longer working, shift the thinking patterns behind it, and build practical tools you can use in your day-to-day life. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem, with a focus on helping you gain clarity, make meaningful changes, and stop repeating what isn’t working. ***Please note that I don't specialize in working with addiction issues, and if that is something you are actively struggling with, I encourage you to look for a provider who specializes in working in addictions. It's important you find the best person for you.

My role is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I believe that every individual has unique strengths and the capacity for growth and change. My approach is holistic, meaning I consider the emotional, mental, social, and sometimes spiritual aspects of a person’s life when supporting their healing process. In my work as a Flex-Care Counselor, I use a variety of evidence-based counseling approaches depending on each client’s needs. These may include cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness techniques, solution-focused methods, and trauma-informed care. My goal is to help clients better understand their thoughts and behaviors, manage stress and emotions, and build healthier relationships. I also value collaboration and respect the client’s personal values, culture, and life experiences. I see counseling as a partnership where the client and counselor work together to identify goals, overcome challenges, and create meaningful change. Ultimately, who I am as a Flex-Care Counselor is someone committed to supporting others with empathy, professionalism, and dedication. You may be the person everyone depends on, yet still find yourself feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of where to turn. Maybe you’re navigating a difficult relationship, grieving a loss, struggling with self-esteem, or carrying emotional burdens that have built up over time. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and also a School Social Worker. I believe healing happens when we take the time to understand the experiences, relationships, and life events that have shaped us. Often, the challenges that bring people to therapy are connected to deeper layers of their story that deserve attention, compassion, and understanding. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Together, we’ll create a space where you can explore what’s weighing on you, gain insight into patterns that may no longer serve you, and develop tools to support meaningful change. My goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and better equipped to navigate life with confidence and clarity.

I work with high-performing professionals who are exhausted from carrying too much responsibility for too long. Many of my clients are leaders, healthcare providers, executives, and driven individuals who appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, burned out, or emotionally depleted behind the scenes. Before becoming a full-time therapist, I served in senior healthcare leadership roles, including Regional Vice President. I understand the pressure of performance plans, regulatory scrutiny, organizational instability, and the silent weight of being the person everyone else depends on. In therapy, we focus on restoring clarity, rebuilding emotional resilience, and addressing the root causes of anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress. My approach integrates evidence-based cognitive and trauma-informed interventions with practical, real-world strategies that support both professional and personal stability. If you are a high-achieving individual who feels stuck, overextended, or quietly unraveling under pressure, you are not weak. You are overloaded. Together, we will recalibrate your nervous system, strengthen your internal narrative, and restore sustainable performance without sacrificing your well-being.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My background includes working with justice-involved adults and high-acuity clients, which has taught me the importance of meeting people exactly where they are—with compassion, respect, and a clear plan forward. *At this time, I am accepting new individual therapy clients. My couples therapy caseload is currently full, so I am not accepting new couples therapy clients at this time.* In our work together, I draw from evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing. What that means in practice is that we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build skills to manage overwhelming emotions, and strengthen your ability to create healthier relationships with yourself and others. My style is straightforward, supportive, and collaborative. I’ll encourage you to set meaningful goals, while also making space to process the deeper experiences that have shaped your story. I believe therapy works best when it feels both safe and practical—you should leave sessions with tools you can use right away, and also feel seen and understood in the bigger picture of your life. If you’re looking for a therapist who is down-to-earth, honest, and committed to helping you make real changes, I’d be honored to work with you.

I am Danelle King, MSW, LCSW, and for over 30 years I have been dedicated to walking alongside individuals and couples and families as they navigate life’s challenges. With a natural gift for nurturing and support, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where my clients can be open and honest without fear of criticism. I believe that healing begins with honesty, and I am gentle in my approach, offering genuine feedback and personalized guidance tailored to each person’s unique circumstances. My work is focused on helping clients address problematic behaviors, process traumatic experiences, and manage specific mental health diagnoses. Anxious? Worried all the time? Having panic attacks? Well, you're not alone and I can help! In recent years, anxiety has become one of the most common mental health concerns out there and it can leave you distracted, breathless, overwhelmed and feeling out of control. Symptoms of general anxiety, panic disorders, health anxiety, OCD and PTSD can be difficult to navigate, especially when you feel alone and don't know where to start. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. I have been in the counseling field for almost 30 years. I've worked in private practice throughout that time but have also worked in the criminal justice and community mental health settings, helping people with anxiety, depression, and addictions. I work primarily with adults using cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I like helping people learn the neuroscience behind anxiety and build skills to manage it better. I love seeing people take back some of the power they feel they've lost to anxiety or helping them see the light at the end of the tunnel in depression or addiction. Stop. Unclench your jaw. Relax your shoulders. Breath. My practice is focused on decreasing negative mental health symptoms through a mind and body approach. My work relies on mindfulness and somatic practices that support clients of all ages. Mindfulness as a practice with children and adults supports emotional regulation and decreases anxiety. The intervention serves as a means to decrease impulsive behavior and reduce stress and anxiety. For children and adults with ADHD the practice can be effective in increasing attention and focus through the use of the senses, movement, and breath. Somatic practices can relieve symptoms caused by trauma and PTSD symptoms and anxiety and stress reduction. These interventions support emotional regulation and depressive symptoms by restoring movement and breath flow.

I am here for your relational needs. I'm your counselor if you want someone who is all about relationships. Relationships can be the most rewarding part of life. They can also be one of the most difficult. Wherever you are in your relationship, I am here to help you thrive. I offer counseling for couples, families and individuals to help with all of life's changes. The reason I focus so much on relationships is because I know the profound effect relationships have on mental health, addiction, trauma. If life is a journey, counseling is a pit stop to overcome issues that arise but relationships are the roads that you navigate to get where you need to go. I can assist by providing support, conflict resolution, and relationship enrichment. I've worked with couples and individuals with relational issues, parenting issues, mental health needs including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Thank you for considering me as your counselor. I look forward to meeting you and working alongside you towards your goals.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over two decades of experience supporting adults through periods of stress, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and relationship challenges. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, understood, and supported. I take a warm, collaborative approach to therapy and work to create a space that feels steady, thoughtful, and safe. I draw from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed perspectives to help clients better understand emotional patterns, strengthen coping skills, and navigate challenges with greater clarity and self-compassion. Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning and capable, yet feel overwhelmed or disconnected beneath the surface. Others are moving through significant transitions and are looking for support as they sort through emotions, relationships, or long-standing patterns. Therapy with me is paced intentionally and tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and life circumstances. Clients often describe me as calm, supportive, and insightful. My goal is to help you feel grounded and supported while working toward meaningful, sustainable change.

Hi, I’m Dr. Walters, a licensed Clinical Psychologist. Ready to make some changes? Let’s work together to help you manage mental health challenges and recover from substance use disorders. For the past 26 years, I’ve supported people—likely much like you—in building the skills needed to get sober, stay in recovery, and address co-occurring mental health issues. I’ve worked with adults from all walks of life, including diverse ages, races, cultures, spiritual and religious backgrounds, and many in the LGBTQ+ community, to lay the groundwork for managing mental health and breaking free from drugs and alcohol. Worried that depression or anxiety might be fueling your substance use? You’re not alone—it’s common. We can explore that together and find strategies to help you manage symptoms and heal. If substance use isn’t your concern but you need help with anxiety, depression, or trauma, I can guide you toward a healthier, more balanced life. I look forward to meeting you.

I help adults (and teens 13+), virtually and in-person, who are struggling with anxiety, depression, sexual dysfunctions, eating disorders/disordered eating, and adjustment issues related to grief. Grief can manifest not just from death, but also from the end of a relationship, loss of a dream, health issues, or any unexpected changes in life. My work extends to helping those who have experienced trauma, as well as individuals looking to improve their self-esteem, strengthen their relationships, and manage stress effectively. In collaboration, from a trauma informed and compassion-focused approach, I will help you in creating a toolbox of techniques to soothe your nervous system while fostering self-compassion and building emotional awareness.

How much of your life is spent waiting to feel confident enough to live it? I’m Fred, a licensed clinical social worker who works with adults struggling with anxiety, addiction, relationship difficulties, and major life stress. My practice is direct, collaborative, and practical. I draw primarily from Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches. A lot of people come to therapy believing they need more confidence, more clarity, or more certainty before they can move forward. Often, confidence is built differently: by learning to act, adapt, and make meaningful decisions even while doubt, anxiety, and difficult emotions are still present. Together, we’ll work on changing the patterns that keep you stuck and building the flexibility and confidence to move toward the life you want.

Do you feel stuck in a pattern that is negatively impacting your overall wellness? Just as important as the "why" is the "what" aspect of the mind. What we think, what we feel and what we believe are all intertwined with our behavior. Exploring the thoughts and beliefs that underpin certain actions can lead to profound self-awareness and personal growth. In my interactions with clients, I have witnessed the transformative power of uncovering and challenging deep-seated beliefs that no longer serve them. While patterns and commonalities may emerge among individuals, it is crucial to remember that each person's mind is a unique landscape. What works for one may not work for another, and it is my duty as a clinician to adapt the plan of care accordingly. As a therapist and health coach, I incorporate a holistic (mind/body) approach.

Are you ready to make a change? I'm Cheri Counterman, LCSW. I've been working as a therapist and medical social worker for over a decade. I've worked with clients who have had a wide range of concerns like depression, anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, trauma, and many more. For therapeutic modalities, I specialize in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) but also utilize other forms of therapy like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Person-Centered Therapy. I am passionate about learning new therapeutic skills and attend yearly trainings to stay on top of new evidence-based therapies to help my clients. I know that asking for help can be one of the most vulnerable things we do as humans. That's why it's so important to me to make sure your time with me is as comfortable as possible. My goal is to create an open, safe space where you can feel supported in whatever you need from me. I believe that all people are valuable and deserve love and support no matter what they've been through. Everyone has their own unique story and journey through life; my job is not only to listen but also to help guide you toward healing your mind, body and spirit so that you can live the life you're meant to live!

Frequently asked questions

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Indiana. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Indiana from Fort Wayne to Evansville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Indiana.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
