I’m a warm, direct therapist who loves learning people’s stories and helping them feel grounded again. One of my favorite reminders is, “Don’t let someone else hold the pen when it comes to writing your story.” I support adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, emotional eating, family stress, and life transitions, helping them find clarity, steadiness, and practical steps that truly improve daily life. I’m also someone who loves the outdoors and animals, and I bring that same calm, grounded energy into the therapy space. I love empowering clients when it comes to writing their story.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first visit, you can expect to meet a real person—someone who moves through life navigating real situations just like you. My style is laid‐back, empathetic, engaged, and direct. That means I show up as myself: warm, present, and genuinely interested in understanding what you’re carrying. Our first session is relaxed and focused on getting to know you. We’ll talk about where you’ve been, what you’ve been managing, and what you hope to move toward. When I’m direct in therapy, it simply means I’ll offer honest reflections, gently name patterns I notice, and help you get to the heart of what’s keeping you stuck—always at a pace that feels safe and respectful. Together, we’ll begin shaping a path forward that supports your goals and your well‐being.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My style is unique because I blend warmth, real‑person presence, and direct insight in a way that helps people feel both safe and genuinely understood. I create a calm, grounded space where clients can slow down and be honest about what they’re carrying, while also offering practical, evidence‑based tools that help them move forward. I listen deeply to people’s stories and help clients make sense of their patterns without judgment. I also bring a rare strength in supporting clients whose emotional experiences show up in their bodies and eating patterns, especially when medical concerns are involved. My approach helps people feel grounded, hopeful, and capable of real change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have a special passion for supporting individuals whose eating patterns are tied to trauma, depression, or anxiety—especially when these patterns affect medical concerns like diabetes, high blood pressure, or cholesterol. I also work with people navigating grief, low self‐worth, panic attacks, and fears that make it hard to pursue their goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In our work together, we’ll identify patterns that keep you feeling stuck and learn practical skills to challenge unhelpful thoughts. My approach is direct, supportive, and focused on helping you make meaningful changes that fit your real life.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP)

I use CBT‑I to help you understand the habits, thoughts, and patterns that keep your mind and body stuck in sleepless cycles. Together, we’ll identify what’s disrupting your rest and build practical routines that support deeper, more consistent sleep. My approach is structured, supportive, and focused on helping you retrain your sleep system so you can feel more rested, clear‑headed, and in control of your nights again.

Grief Therapy

I support clients through grief by creating a calm, compassionate space to process loss at their own pace. Together, we explore the emotions, questions, and changes that come with losing someone or something meaningful. My approach is gentle and grounding—focused on helping you make sense of your experience, honor what you’ve lost, and find steady steps forward as you rebuild your life.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use Internal Family Systems to help you understand the different “parts” of yourself—like the parts that protect you, the parts that feel overwhelmed, and the parts that carry old wounds. Together, we create space for each part to be heard without judgment, so you can move toward more balance, clarity, and self‑compassion. My approach is calm, curious, and supportive, helping you reconnect with your core strengths and inner wisdom.

Supportive

I help clients understand the emotional patterns that drive their eating habits—whether it’s stress, overwhelm, trauma, or using food for comfort. Together, we explore what your eating behaviors are trying to communicate and build practical, compassionate strategies that support both your emotional wellbeing and your relationship with food. My approach is non‑judgmental, steady, and focused on helping you feel more in control and more connected to yourself.
