In 2008, I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. After 10 months of treatment, I realized I wanted to work with other cancer fighters and their loved ones. Since my career change to social work and therapy, my experience has broadened to include refugee resettlement, hospice social work, medical social work, and trauma-informed therapy. I am passionate about supporting my clients through grief, trauma, chronic and terminal illness, anxiety, depression, couples counseling, family therapy, and parent training. My goal is to foster an environment where my clients feel supported, validated, and empowered.
I am a mental health therapist specializing in grief, trauma, and substance use. I have been in the field about 10 years now and in that time I have worked with many different types of people and mental health disorders. I have worked in community mental health, private practice, residential, outpatient, and higher levels of care such as PHP/IOP. I love what I do and I could not imagine doing anything else.
Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. My goal is to create a warm, welcoming, and judgment-free space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and exploring whatever brings you to therapy. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey, and I’m here to support you as you navigate life’s challenges, better understand yourself, and develop tools to feel more balanced and confident. I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in the Chicago Suburbs. I have 10 years of experience working in Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient programs with women with mood disorders, eating disorders and trauma symptoms. I balance processing the memories and beliefs that keep clients stuck with building tangible skills that can help them manage their emotions outside of therapy.
I have several years of experience treating individuals, families, and adolescents using a holistic, empathic, and trauma-informed approach. Watching friends and family struggle with mental health and substance abuse issues fueled my passion for helping those who struggle with these difficulties from a place of understanding, patience, and empathy. I received a BA in psychology first, which led to obtaining a substance abuse certificate. I gained experience working with families and individuals and, after some time, I was ready to further my education and obtained a Master of Social Work. This helped me expand my clinical skills and learn more targeted therapy modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, psychoanalytical care, and art therapy. I found these approaches are a great synthesis of neuroscience, trauma, and creativity.
With nearly 20 years of experience, I help individuals and couples navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, identity, and life transitions. I have a special interest in supporting LGBTQ+ clients and creating an affirming space where you can show up authentically. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for change, we’ll work together to better understand what’s holding you back, strengthen your relationships, and help you move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

All of these feelings are valid. I strive to create a warm and supportive space where you can slow things down and explore what’s been feeling heavy. Many of the people I work with are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the impact of past experiences. This can show up as overthinking, worry, self-doubt, or feeling emotionally drained from trying to manage it all on your own. In our work together, we'll focus on understanding what’s getting in the way, build practical coping tools, and strengthen your ability to respond to life in ways that feel more grounded and intentional. Therapy is also a space for growth, reflection, and reconnecting with yourself in a deeper way. If you're looking for support in that process, I'm here when you're ready.
