New to Grow
My name is Bradley Thomas. In many ways, I am just like you. I have worked, raised a family, battled physical challenges, had good relationships and had relationships fall apart. I continue to strive towards living my best life. I bring this same passion for life into our therapy sessions and consider it an honor to align myself with you and help you towards living your best life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I will spend most of our first session listening to your story. It is important to me that I truly understand what caused you to take the courageous step of reaching out for help. From there, I will work with you to create a plan of care that identifies your priorities and meets your goals. Our first session should end with a clear understanding of the issues and a move forward plan that addresses your concerns.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My greatest strength is that I have not been a therapist my whole life. I had a career, raised a family, and experienced many of the same challenges that my clients are facing. I am not only offering my education and therapeutic experience, I am bringing my own lived experience into each session that allows me to provide sympathetic and compassionate care.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Whether you have a messy past, an overwhelming present, or an unknown future, I believe in you and will work diligently towards meeting you where you are and helping you get to where you want to be. I work with families, couples, individuals, and children 13 years plus.
Christian Counseling
I have a great appreciation for the role of faith in our life journey. Biblical truths can provide a spiritual anchor to help keep us grounded during challenging times. I utilize faith-based, Biblical principles with evidence-based, psychological techniques.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is popular because can be effective and efficient. When focusing on the current, ongoing challenges of daily life is important, clients can benefit from the evidence based structured design of CBT.
Structural Family Therapy
Families can be challenging. Structural Family Therapy helps in identifying boundary issues and works to improve communication and resolve conflicts within the family.
Motivational Interviewing
Sometimes we experience hesitation or mixed feelings about life changes. Motivational Interviewing can help clients resolve uncertainty, build intrinsic motivation, and commit to positive behavior changes.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
This goal orientated approach seeks to shift the focus away from problem saturated thinking to identifying and leaning on the strengths of what is already working in order to create a preferred future.
