I hold dual master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Walden University. My professional experience includes work in child advocacy, community mental health, and crisis intervention. Across settings, I help clients identify their strengths, set realistic goals, and build resilience in the face of past or current challenges.
My therapeutic approach is person‑centered and collaborative, integrating evidence‑based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies informed by Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I focus on building strong rapport and offering my full presence so clients feel safe, understood, and supported. Together, we develop practical coping tools that empower clients to manage emotions, navigate change, and move forward with confidence.

I’m a mental health professional with a background in counseling, education, human services, and advocacy. I’ve worked with adults, youth, and families navigating relationships, life transitions, identity, stress, and difficult circumstances. My approach is relational, practical, and individualized. Hello! I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) (LCPC) (LPC) (LMHC) licensed in various states. I received my Masters from Avila University in Kansas City and have been practicing for over a decade. I have helped women struggling with life problems and aid them in regaining control over worry, panic, fear, or dread in order to become the best version of themselves.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker who believes therapy should feel like a safe place to be honest, understood, and supported without judgment. Life can bring challenges that leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what to do next, and you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.
My work with adults focuses on helping clients navigate life transitions, relationships, women’s issues, domestic violence, substance use and recovery, chronic health challenges, stress, and the many changes that can come with different seasons of life. I also enjoy working with children and adolescents and helping young people develop the skills and confidence they need to manage their emotions and navigate challenges.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process. You know your life better than anyone, and my role is to listen, help you make sense of what you’re experiencing, and provide practical tools and strategies that can help you move forward.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the field for the past seventeen years. I have provided therapy to individuals, couples, groups, and families for six years. I create a space where you can feel heard, gain clarity, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 10 years of experience supporting women through the complexities of life, relationships, and personal growth.
In my practice, I work with professional women navigating anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the unique pressures that often come with being a woman who is expected to have it all together.
My work is rooted in helping women break free from the expectations of others—and the curated expectations created by social media—and reconnect with what feels authentic to them.
My approach is direct, supportive, and intentional. Together, we explore the patterns, beliefs, and expectations that may be keeping you stuck and what it could look like to move through life with greater confidence, clarity, and intention.
You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Sometimes, you simply want to understand yourself better, make different choices, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you are becoming.
I have been a clinician for over 20 years. I often use an eclectic approach that best fits the client's needs. My base approaches include Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a solution-focused approach. I also utilize ACT and Informed DBT approaches in my practice of care. During specialized groups, I may use more creative modalities such as Narrative, Art, and Music therapy.
Is life scary sometimes? Is it hard for you to have the confidence to tackle the big things in life? Do you sometimes notice a younger part of yourself that needs comfort? I help those of you who suffer from unresolved traumas both big and small.
I pull from my experiences of mother, grandmother, wife, widow, sister, daughter. Together we can explore the different parts of self and how our roles and relationships affect us.
I can guide you to a deeper awareness of how life wounds can affect performance and satisfaction with life. I use a combination of EMDR, mindfulness, ego state and somatic awareness to help you achieve your goals. Through this process you may begin to feel a deeper peace that I call soul living; fully embracing who you are and the moment you are in. Together we can improve the quality of your relationships with others and with yourself.

They come to me feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to even begin. You may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or weighed down by emotions that are hard to name or understand.
In therapy with me, we’ll gently begin to make sense of what you’ve been holding. We will navigate together in order to transform your heaviest burdens into a map for your future. We will identify the beliefs and patterns that keep you feeling stuck and begin building new ones that feel more empoweing. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to explore, heal, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Licensed Psychotherapist | Culturally Sensitive | Trauma-Informed
Welcome, I’m Nubia.
Healing doesn’t happen overnight — but with the right support, it absolutely happens. Whether you're working through trauma, betrayal, anxiety, divorce, or simply feeling emotionally stuck, I’m here to help you move forward with clarity, strength, and care.
I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, or emotional wounds that have been hard to process alone. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure of how to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Together, we explore the deeper “why” behind those patterns — and create space for healing, resilience, and growth.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). These methods help us understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected — and how to gently shift the beliefs that keep you feeling stuck. But beyond technique, I lead with authenticity, compassion, and cultural awareness.
In our sessions, you’ll find a space that feels safe, honest, and judgment-free. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning to it, you are welcome exactly as you are.
Clients often tell me they feel more centered, more empowered, and more hopeful after working together. I offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and virtual sessions, because healing should fit into real life.
If you’re ready to begin your journey — whether you’re clear on your goals or still figuring them out — I’d be honored to support you.
Let’s take the first step, together.
Warmly,
Nubia Anacius , MS,NBCC,LPC

I would welcome the opportunity to connect.
Hi! I'm a licensed therapist in Georgia. I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I was in the 3rd grade. I would wait at the swing set for my friends to come talk to me about their problems. As someone who was born into poverty and struggled with traumas of my own, I know how difficult life can be at times. Being there for others was something that took my mind off of the stressors of home. After becoming a teen mom, I knew I had to change my life for the better to support my family. I went to college to both heal myself and learn how to help and heal others. I am passionate about helping others meet their goals, feel happy, and have loving supportive relationships in their lives. I believe in practicing what I preach, so you know that if I'm asking you to try something then I've tried it myself and know it works. I believe that we all have the answers inside of us, I just help you find them.

No matter how hard we try in life, inevitably we come across unpredictable waters. Sometimes riding the waves of life can be delightful and sometimes it can be soul crushing.
Thus, I seek to help high functioning adults to "embrace uncertainty and live joyfully through the process."
I hope to energize and empower you to become the best version of yourself, especially during times of adversity. I work with you to evaluate your life goals and to gain insight and clarity about factors that might influence your success.
I personally have experienced the power of having someone offer support in both the good and bad times of uncertainty, and it would be an absolute honor to support you as you navigate your life!
