I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of experience in social work with diverse populations. I have experience with children and adolescents, teenagers, adults, couples, and families. If you are experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or just need help navigating life’s challenges I would love to help. I also have several years of experience working with physically disabled clients, those dealing with chronic pain, and the lifestyle adjustments that come from chronic illness. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “the greatest gift you can give someone is the space to be his or her authentic self,” and that is what I offer, a safe judgement free space to feel understood and supported.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The idea of therapy can be daunting, especially when you don't know what to expect. At our first session I offer an in person cozy environment that will hopefully make you feel at ease. Whether you want to wrap up with weighted blanket or have a cup of warm coffee or tea I have many things to help you feel at ease. Most importantly you will find a respectful nonjudgemental environment. Depending on what platform you find me and whether or not you choose virtual or in person there may or may not be paperwork to review. The first session is mostly about getting to know you and your reasons for seeking therapy, and what you are hoping to get out of therapy. I may ask about different areas of your life (work, relationships, history, etc.) to get a full picture, but you will set the pace. There won't be any pressure to share your whole story and get into the parts that you feel are too difficult. It is also ok to have no idea where to begin. We can figure it out together. We will then set some goals together. These goals will evolve over time. I will share some information about different therapeutic techniques that I feel may help you and what working togehter in this process may look. At the end of the session we will discuss your comfort level and whether or not we are good fit for each other. If for any reason you decide you need to go in another direction with another therapist that is ok too. I will help you find the best fit for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel like therapy should never be cookie cutter. There is no one best method to help people. I believe in providing a judgment free safe space to let clients be themselves and discover their path at their own pace. I am mindful of each client's own expierances and preferences. I am continuously taking educational classes to stay current on the best techniques to help others. I am strongest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Child and Adolescent Therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is 6 years old to 65 plus in age. I am looking for clients who are open to self reflection and personal growth, no matter how uncomfortable it may be at times. Clients who value therapy and the guidance it can provide. Someone who feels confident in the therapy process or someone who feels overwhelmed starting the process, or just anywhere in between. My ideal client is someone who isn't looking for just an answer but someone willing to do the work to not only discover the issue but address it as well. Someone who is ready for healing, improved health and happiness.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support clients in identifying and reframing negative thought patterns, managing emotional distress, and building practical coping strategies. Whether working with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or stress-related issues, I use CBT tools to help clients gain insight into how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact and how to change those patterns in a managable way.

Couples Counseling

n my couples therapy work, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help partners identify and shift maladaptive thinking patterns that negatively impact their relationship dynamics. Many couples fall into cycles of distorted assumptions, emotional reactivity, or miscommunication—CBT offers a structured framework to increase insight, improve communication, and build healthier interactions.I incorporate principles and interventions from the Gottman Method in my work with couples to help them strengthen their emotional connection, improve communication, and manage conflict more effectively.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In my therapeutic work, I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify strengths, clarify goals, and move toward meaningful change in a focused, time-efficient manner. SFBT is a goal-directed, future-focused approach that emphasizes clients’ existing resources and what is already working rather than deep diving the how and why of the issue.
