About me

Hello, I'm an LCSW based in Georgia and a proud graduate of the UGA MSW program. I have extensive experience providing therapy for children, young adults, and women. I have spent the past four years specializing in trauma-informed care. I'm bilingual and highly focused on cultural competency. My approach is empathetic and client-centered, ensuring that clients feel heard and understood from the very beginning.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, clients can expect a welcoming and safe environment where they can share their story and concerns. We will begin reviewing the initial assessment to understand their background, needs, and goals. This session is an opportunity to establish trust, discuss the therapeutic process, and set the foundation for our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a provider, my greatest strengths are my empathy, cultural competency, and extensive experience with trauma-informed care. I am committed to understanding and respecting the diverse backgrounds of my clients, which allows me to provide personalized and effective support. Additionally, my bilingual abilities enable me to connect with a broader range of clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and understood throughout the therapeutic process.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve women and adolescents, including young children who have experienced trauma, need help with social skills or have recently moved from other countries. I also specialize in working with women who have experienced substance abuse, are struggling to cope with mental disorders, and those who have endured childhood and adult trauma.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

Strength-based therapy focuses on clients' inherent strengths and resources rather than their deficits. My experience with this approach has shown that empowering clients to recognize and build on their strengths fosters resilience and promotes positive change.I use this method to help clients identify their strengths, set realistic goals, and develop strategies that enhance their well-being and self-efficacy.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma-informed therapy prioritizes creating a safe and supportive environment that acknowledges the impact of trauma on individuals. My experience with this method has demonstrated its effectiveness in fostering trust and healing by being sensitive to trauma triggers.

My session with Jazmin is like talking to a good friend catching up and just bringing revelation to me in a way where it creative and not judgmental.

Jazmin is one of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve ever met. Her calming presence made me feel safe to open up, something I’ve always struggled with. She listens without judgment and gently helps me see things in a new light. Talking to her feels like having the big sister I never had. I always leave our sessions feeling lighter, more understood, and more in tune with myself. I’ve grown so much emotionally thanks to her.
