During her clinical experience, she has utilized evidence-based modalities that include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Behavior Therapy, and Psychoanalysis.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session together, my main goal is to create a comfortable and supportive space where you can begin to share your story at your own pace. I understand that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so I focus on building a genuine connection and helping you feel safe and respected from the very beginning. We’ll start by talking about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience. I’ll ask about your expectations of therapy, any previous experiences with counseling, and whether you’ve had a current or past mental health diagnosis. We’ll also explore your personal goals, discuss any thoughts of self-harm or suicidal ideation, and get a better understanding of where you are emotionally and mentally. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share what you’re looking for in a therapist. I want this to be a collaborative experience, where we work together to find the approach that best supports your growth and healing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I bring a combination of warmth, authenticity, and curiosity into every session. One of my greatest strengths is being an active listener—I create a space where clients feel truly heard and understood without judgment. I show up fully present, offering not just my expertise but my genuine self, which helps build trust and a strong therapeutic connection. I approach each client as a collaborator, valuing your insights and experiences while also gently challenging unhelpful thoughts and encouraging new perspectives. I believe growth happens when we’re open, and I’m always willing to learn from my clients as much as I guide them. My goal is to walk alongside you, offering support, encouragement, and thoughtful reflection as we work together to create meaningful change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In our work together, we focus on identifying unhelpful thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, or other challenges. I guide clients in learning how to challenge these thoughts and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives.

Couples Counseling

In my work with couples, I create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where both partners feel heard and understood. My approach to couples counseling focuses on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and deepening emotional connection. I help couples identify unhelpful patterns in their relationship and guide them in learning healthier ways to express needs, resolve conflict, and support each other.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Treatment (SFBT) to help clients move toward their goals by focusing on strengths, resources, and what’s already working in their lives. Instead of spending a lot of time digging into the past, we work together to identify clear, realistic goals and explore practical steps to get there. In our sessions, I’ll ask targeted, future-oriented questions that help you envision the change you want and recognize your capacity to make it happen. This approach is especially helpful when you’re feeling stuck and need a focused, encouraging space to gain clarity and direction.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

At the core of my practice is a person-centered approach, which means I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide a warm, nonjudgmental, and supportive space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, empathy, and genuine connection. Rather than directing the session, I listen deeply and reflect your experiences back to you, helping you gain insight and self-awareness. This approach empowers you to tap into your own inner strengths, make authentic choices, and grow in the direction that feels right for you.
