Hi, I am a Christian counselor first and foremost. Please if you are not a Christian, follower of Jesus Christ or desire to serve Christ, do not schedule a therapy session with me. I specialize in assisting individuals that use their spiritual faith as a weapon. I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma and those with a history of sexual abuse. Most people at some point in their life will deal with depression. I strive to help my clients determine the root cause of their issues. We then explore ways of achieving healing and recovery through the word of God. Habakkuk 2: 2 ...Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it". We are disconnected - from each other, from the world, and from ourselves. Humans suffer profoundly when they can’t connect. Using Existential Therapy as a framework, I help clients navigate challenges regarding isolation, purpose, choice, and death in order to reconnect in healthy ways. A therapist acts as a mirror, not giving advice but helping you see yourself clearly and encouraging the self-respect that fuels healthy relationships. Provided the fit is good, trust is established, and you are motivated for change, therapy can be an excellent starting point for building the life you desire. I practice primarily with individual adults but also groups. I also work with high-functioning teens who are motivated for change. Virtual sessions upon request, in-person strongly recommended.

Hi, I'm Ashley, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Reiki II practitioner. I believe that somewhere underneath the anxiety, the self-doubt, and the patterns that keep repeating, there is a version of you that already knows the way. My job isn't to fix you. It's to create a space steady enough that you can actually hear yourself. Together we get curious about the thoughts that won't quiet down, the emotions that feel bigger than the moment, the behaviors that keep showing up even when you don't want them to, and what all of it is actually trying to tell you. I utilize a holistic approach, bringing tools into our work that help you understand what's happening in your mind and body when you're overwhelmed, so you can actually do something about it instead of just surviving it. But more than any method or modality, I show up as a real person walking alongside you, trusting that you are the expert on your own life. If you're ready to listen to that wiser part of yourself and create meaningful change, I'd be honored to walk with you.

Life can be overwhelming, messy, and genuinely hard sometimes—and that’s completely okay. However, that doesn't mean it has to remain that way. For nearly a decade, I’ve supported adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and relationship struggles, helping them feel more grounded, confident, and connected in their lives. While working together, we’ll slow things down to truly understand what you’re going through, explore what matters most to you, and discover practical, realistic ways to move forward. I'm not here to tell you what to do, but to work with you by listening, offering options, and supporting you as you work through challenges and build a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and true to who you are. I bring warmth, compassion, and even some humor into the process, because healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time.

Hello! With over 20 years in the medical field I have begun to understand the complex relationship between physical illness, life transitions, and mental well-being. Add my own personal journey through faith, anxiety, post-partum depression, and a not so perfect health ... I have a unique approach to therapy. My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in my Christian faith. I believe that true healing and resilience begin when we know our identity and security in Christ. By understanding who we are and how deeply we are loved by Him, we build the solid foundation necessary to navigate, endure, and overcome the pressures of this world. I provide evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) integrated with a foundation of Christian discipleship, helping clients align their thought patterns with psychological health and biblical truth.

I believe the best therapy happens through honest conversation and collaboration. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself while helping you build practical skills that create meaningful change. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I value authenticity and often keep an informal tone when it helps clients feel more at ease. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you to better understand what's keeping you stuck and help you discover solutions that fit your life, values, and goals. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation. I believe that understanding why our minds and bodies respond the way they do can make change feel less overwhelming and more achievable. I'll help you develop practical tools while offering support, encouragement, and a little perspective along the way. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, I'll meet you where you are. Together, we'll identify your strengths, build resilience, and create a path forward that feels realistic and sustainable. You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy, you just have to be willing to take the first step.

Hello, I’m A.J., a Licensed Master Level Social Worker from the U.P. of Michigan. Faith, Family, and Fellowship are things that I strive to live for daily. My faith is very important to me. I am involved in Men’s Ministry inside and outside of my church. Haggai 2:9 is a verse that is close to my family's heart: “The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house, says the Lord Almighty, in this place I will grant peace, declares the Lord Almighty.” My goal and prayer is that I can help individuals move into a better place than they were when therapy first began. My wife and I have three boys and one grandson. Our family enjoys spending time outside on our 20-acre property “Creation Acres” or getting away camping. My boys and I enjoy spending time in the woods or on the lake. I graduated from Ferris State University in 2018 with my Master’s Degree in Social Work after attending Lake Superior State University completing Criminal Justice / Public Safety Emphasis Bachelor’s Degree and a Paramedic Technology Associate’s Degree in 2008. I have experience working directly with law enforcement as a dispatcher and working in the public safety field as a fire fighter and as an EMT. I currently work for the Michigan Department of Corrections as a mental health specialist. Prior to this career, I worked for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services as a foster care case manager and a juvenile justice / juvenile delinquency case manager. I look forward to working with you during your journey. NOTICE – Due to my current position with the Michigan Department of Corrections, I am unable to accept referrals or work with anyone on parole or probation.

I'm Jeff, an LCSW and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC), and I founded Rogue Sun Counseling & Consulting to work with adults navigating trauma, substance use, or both. Before launching this practice, I served as Clinical Director at a residential addiction treatment center and later as Executive Director at two wellness centers, where I oversaw clinical programming for hundreds of clients working through substance use disorders, trauma, and the broader mental health challenges that often accompany both. That experience shaped how I practice now: I don't assume every client's story fits a single mold. Some clients come to me specifically for trauma, with no history of substance use at all. Others are focused entirely on changing their relationship with alcohol or drugs, with no significant trauma history to speak of. And some are working through both, where one has clearly fed into the other. My job is to figure out how I can best meet you where you are, drawing on years of leadership in addiction treatment alongside trauma-focused clinical work, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach to every person who walks through the door.

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping adults heal from trauma, chronic stress, and long-standing survival patterns. Many of the people I work with grew up navigating environments where safety, emotional support, or stability were inconsistent, and those experiences can continue to affect relationships, self-worth, and the nervous system well into adulthood. My approach is compassionate, grounded, and practical. I integrate trauma-informed methods such as EMDR, somatic awareness, and nervous system regulation to help clients move beyond survival mode and reconnect with a stronger sense of self. Therapy with me is a collaborative process. Together we work at a pace that feels safe while building the insight, resilience, and self-trust needed for lasting change. Hello! I'm a licensed professional counselor based in Georgia. I received my Masters from Mercer University, Atlanta, and have been practicing for six years. I love helping women who are experiencing emotional, physical, and spiritual burnout regain their sense of peace and autonomy. In our work together, we will create a safe space for healing and improve your overall self-compassion. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. During our sessions, I will provide a nonjudgmental space for you to explore what is keeping you stuck. I will guide you towards developing healthy coping skills, boundaries, and improved self-compassion. In sessions, I utilize shadow work, mindful self-compassion, and somatic integration. I'm also a certified yoga nidra practitioner.

I’m a licensed professional counselor who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences. I especially enjoy helping people understand the patterns they’ve developed to survive, build greater emotional resilience, and begin feeling more like themselves again. My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I bring both compassion and a healthy dose of real-world perspective to therapy, and I believe you can do meaningful work without every session feeling heavy. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, respected, and supported while also helping you move toward meaningful change.

Hi, I’m Chrissy! I’m an Atlanta, GA native and an LCSW with more than 16 years of experience working with people of all ages, from toddlers to older adults. I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work from UGA and have worked in hospitals, early intervention, home health, hospice, and rehabilitation settings. My first goal is simply to get to know you—your experiences, what’s important to you, and what has brought you to seek support. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should be a safe place where you feel heard, supported, and free from judgment, while also gaining practical tools, insight, and a sense of progress along the way. I genuinely enjoy getting to know my clients, and I feel fortunate to do this work. My goal is to help you reach your goals and create the positive changes in your life that led you to seek therapy.

We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Georgia from Athens to Savannah! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Georgia.

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
