Hello, I'm Ylonda Hadley, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and achieve greater well-being. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, I provide a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. As a therapist, I have the privilege of witnessing the transformative power of therapy in my clients' lives. By offering empathy, guidance, and evidence-based interventions, I help individuals cultivate resilience, develop coping skills, and gain insight into their inner world. Through the therapeutic process, clients often experience profound shifts in their thoughts, behaviors, and relationships, leading to increased self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and enhanced overall functioning. Therapy can empower individuals to break free from patterns of distress, overcome obstacles, and live more fulfilling lives. Whether it's managing anxiety, processing trauma, or navigating life transitions, I am here to support my clients every step of the way. Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first meeting is an opportunity to get to know each other. I will ask you some questions about your background, your current situation, and what brings you to therapy. You will have the chance to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and I will be here to listen without judgment. Since it is important for me to understand your concerns and what you hope to achieve through therapy, we will talk about your symptoms, any challenges you are facing, and what goals you have in mind for your mental health. I may ask you some questions related to your mental health history, any previous experiences with therapy or treatment, and any medical or psychological diagnoses you may have. This information helps me better understand your unique needs and develop a personalized treatment plan. I want to assure you that everything discussed in our sessions is confidential, except in specific situations where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. I will outline any other boundaries or policies related to our sessions, also. I want to emphasize that therapy is a collaborative process, and your input is essential. You will have an opportunity to ask questions, share concerns about the first session or about therapy in general. I want you to feel comfortable and informed every step of the way. Together, we will work towards your goals, and I will provide guidance, support, and evidence-based techniques to help you along the way.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health therapist with more than 15 years of experience. My therapeutic approach is grounded in the principles of CBT, which emphasizes the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I collaborate with my clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns and develop practical strategies to cope with distressing emotions and behaviors. I believe in fostering a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to explore their challenges and work towards positive change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am trained and use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with fidelity to help clients navigate through challenging emotions, dysfunctional behaviors, and interpersonal difficulties. I teach mindfulness techniques to help clients become more aware of their emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them. I use behavioral interventions to address impulsive behaviors by helping clients identify triggers and develop healthier coping strategies. Through a combination of individual therapy sessions and phone coaching, I support clients in applying DBT skills in their everyday life, fostering greater stability and emotional well-being.
