New to Grow
I am a native of Atlanta, GA and have over 20+ years’ experience in the counseling field As a therapist, I engage and educate my clients on how their thoughts and feelings truly have correlation with the actions they exhibit and symptoms they experience. I believe, if a person can learn/create healthy coping mechanisms such as, thought stopping techniques, positive self-talk, meditation, self-regulation, and mindfulness living, then change can certainly occur. I normally incorporate digital learning by assigning lessons, exercises, and homework between scheduled sessions. This is done to provide an opportunity to practice new coping skills and information learned. I strive to inspire and empower my clients. I am intentional on meeting my clients where they are to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space to express themselves. Some of my experience includes, spirituality, LGBTQIA+, depression, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, anger management, stress management and communication/relationship difficulties, just to name a few. I support my clients in uncovering their hidden abilities. All, while using CBT and DBT modalities. I offer inspiration, encouragement, compassion, kindness, and validation as the keys to unlock the hidden power that each of my clients possesses. I am honored to be chosen to share the sacred space of vulnerability with my clients and watch them transform towards positive progression and manifestation. My motto is “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” -Mahatma Ghandi
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session with me, you can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment free space where we focus on getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you’re hoping to gain from this process. I’ll ask some questions about your background, current stressors, and strengths, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once. We move at your pace. I’ll also explain how therapy works with me, answer any questions you have, and make sure you feel clear about next steps. Many clients leave the first session feeling relieved, understood, and more grounded. My goal is for you to feel heard, safe, and supported from the very beginning, and to start building a therapeutic relationship that feels collaborative and respectful.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What often stands out about my work is the balance between warmth and clarity. I create a space where clients feel genuinely supported, while also being gently challenged to notice patterns, build insight, and make meaningful changes. Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you. It’s about understanding you and helping you reconnect with your strengths. My approach is relational, trauma informed, and grounded in mindfulness and evidence based practices. I pay close attention to the mind body connection and help clients slow down, regulate their nervous systems, and develop tools they can actually use outside of session. Clients often tell me they appreciate that our work feels both emotionally safe and practical. In terms of results, many clients report feeling more grounded, confident, and emotionally aware over time. They begin setting healthier boundaries, responding instead of reacting, and showing up in their lives with greater self trust. Progress looks different for everyone, but my focus is on sustainable growth, not quick fixes, and on helping clients create changes that truly last.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m best positioned to work with adults who are thoughtful, self aware, and ready to do meaningful inner work, even if they feel tired, overwhelmed, or stuck right now. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, burned out, or emotionally stretched from holding it together for everyone else. Some are navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, grief or loss, work stress, identity exploration, or that quiet sense of “something needs to change but I’m not sure what.” Others are high functioning on the outside but struggling with self doubt, people pleasing, perfectionism, or difficulty setting boundaries. I work especially well with clients who want a supportive, grounded space to slow down, process their experiences, and better understand themselves. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, blending insight, emotional processing, and practical tools to help clients feel more regulated, confident, and aligned with their values. Therapy with me is a place to be honest, unpack patterns, and move toward healing, clarity, and a more balanced life at a pace that feels respectful and sustainable.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT in my practice as a supportive and practical way to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I work collaboratively with clients to gently identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore where those beliefs came from, and build more balanced ways of responding to stress, anxiety, and life challenges. Rather than pushing quick fixes, I focus on creating a safe, trauma informed space where clients can develop insight, practice new skills at their own pace, and feel empowered to make changes that align with their values and lived experiences.
