I believe that healing and growth doesn't require perfection-it begins with curiosity. Therapy can be a place where you slow down, make sense of your experiences, and begin taking steps towards your best possible self. Having had a natural curiosity most of my life, I bring that aspect into my therapy work with clients. Don't worry, you will not be bombarded with 1001 questions, but a gentle form of interest, drives my work.

Hi, I’m Shaleatha Brown, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and U.S. Army veteran. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is warm, down-to-earth, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. I understand that life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what to do next. Whether you are facing a difficult transition, struggling with your emotions, working through painful experiences, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, therapy can provide a space to slow down, reflect, and begin moving forward. My professional and life experiences have taught me the importance of resilience, perseverance, and meeting people where they are. I believe therapy should be a place where you can show up as yourself without feeling like you have to have everything figured out. I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. Most importantly, I tailor therapy to you. I’m Mariam Saibu, a somatic mental health therapist specializing in women’s mental health and the unique ways trauma, stress, and mood challenges show up in both mind and body. My goal is to create a supportive and empowering space where you can begin to heal, grow, and reconnect with yourself. I hold a Master’s degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling and maintain specialized licenses in trauma, addiction, and vocational counseling. Over the years, I’ve worked in inpatient, outpatient, and state agency settings, providing care for children, adolescents, and adults. I primarily work with concerns related to lack of meaning, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. While I emphasize choice and personal responsibility, I also make it a priority to validate each client’s emotional experience. If I could sit beside my younger self and tell her one thing, I would say, “You are not broken. You are responding to what you’ve been through. Be gentle with yourself. One day, the healing you are fighting for will become someone else’s hope.” Hi, I’m Cherita Griffin, MS-LPCC-S (Ohio), LPC (Georgia), NCC, CYT, SEL-F, C-DBT, CMIP, ADHD-CCSP. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Endorsement, and for more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life’s most difficult seasons. My work is deeply personal to me because I understand that healing is more than a clinical process, it’s human. It’s learning to feel safe again. It’s finding your voice. It’s setting boundaries without guilt, giving yourself permission to rest, and learning that you don’t have to keep surviving when you are ready to begin living. I specialize in supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or simply tired of carrying everything on their own. Together, we gently uncover what hurts, make sense of what you’ve experienced, and begin rebuilding from a place of compassion rather than shame. I integrate CBT, DBT, mindfulness, social-emotional learning, and holistic, somatic-informed practices to support the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. **Here, you don’t have to have it all together. You don’t have to carry everything alone. You can finally exhale.** Healing isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about finding your way back to yourself—the parts of you that life may have taught you to silence, shrink, or leave behind. You are worthy of healing. You are worthy of peace. And you don’t have to walk toward it alone.

Do you relate to anxiety memes on social media? What about staying up late at night thinking about that time you told the host at that restaurant you went to years ago “you too” when they told you to “enjoy your meal?” How about all-or-nothing thinking? "I’ll never figure this out," "life will always be hard," or "I’ll never be happy." Unfortunately, so many of us do, especially women in this society. I want to help you let go of those embarrassing moments you dwell on, stop doom scrolling on social media, and accept that life can still be worth living even with painful events in it.

Hi, I’m Dr. Raven Scott, a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that one of the most important parts of therapy is having a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. My approach is empathic, collaborative, and person-centered. I strive to create an environment where you can show up authentically, without judgment and without feeling like you need to have all the answers before you begin. I have over six years of experience working with adults experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other mental health challenges. I recognize that no two people experience these challenges in exactly the same way, which is why I tailor therapy to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. When appropriate, I incorporate evidence-based interventions such as EMDR, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support your individual goals. I believe therapy works best as a partnership. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to walk alongside you—offering support, empathy, and clinical guidance while honoring your autonomy throughout the therapeutic process. Together, we’ll create a space that honors who you are, where you are, and where you hope to go.

Hello, and welcome to my site! I am Elena, a trilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) from Atlanta, Georgia, and have been practicing since 2013. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology from Brenau University. For the past decade I worked with incarcerated teens (and on probation, or in community) helping them approach problematic behaviors and improve these by avoiding future incarcerations. I serve pre-teens/adolescents 12-17 years old, young adults ages 18-25, and adults up to 60 by assisting them solve problems they cannot readily solve themselves. During our sessions we address issues such as depression, anxiety, family conflict, trauma, relationships, and anger management, among many other issues that might led to delinquency. My specialty is treating individuals with difficulties effectively communicating their needs within their relationships with parents, siblings, relatives, friends, etc., with an emphasis on assertiveness training for building and nurturing long-lasting interpersonal relationships. There is no one size fits all approach to therapy, so I like to tailor my approach to fit my client's unique needs. Here are a few of the clinical theories I use to guide my practice: Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Brief Treatment, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

As an older adult, I've had the benefit of life's many experiences (good and bad) and feel strongly that no situation is ever wasted. There is always an opportunity to learn and grow. I'm an adult child of an alcoholic and an abuse survivor. I have two grown children who have taught me a great deal as we continue to navigate life's joys and challenges. I enjoy helping people explore their own goals, perspectives, and providing them with a safe, supportive, and confidential space to become their personal best.

Recovery is not just about substances. It is about reclaiming yourself. I believe we are all recovering from something, whether that is trauma, anxiety, burnout, grief, unhealthy relationships, substance use, or years of surviving instead of truly living. Healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about reconnecting with the version of yourself that has been buried beneath life's experiences. I work with millennials who are ready to better understand themselves, break unhealthy generational patterns, and create lasting change. Together, we will explore what is keeping you stuck while building practical skills that help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and intention. My approach is warm, honest, and collaborative. I create a space where you feel safe enough to be vulnerable while also feeling supported enough to grow. I believe therapy should be compassionate, practical, and empowering. You can expect me to listen with empathy while gently challenging the beliefs and behaviors that may no longer be serving you. Whether you are navigating life transitions, relationship struggles, trauma, anxiety, substance use, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, you do not have to face it alone. My goal is to help you not only feel better but also build a life that feels authentic, balanced, and meaningful. Together, we will focus on helping you move beyond survival and toward lasting recovery and healing.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
