Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength as a therapist includes utilizing evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. CBT works to "retrain" your brain by identifying negative thinking patterns and finding ways to have more positive thoughts. I also implement Dialectical Behavior Therapy to teach my clients mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills. Implementing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy allows my clients to accept their thoughts and emptions as opposed to trying to deny or avoid them. Then, the committed action includes taking steps that will algin with your values and lead to positive change. I also have clients that benefit from Solution Focused Based. I have clients that want to achieve specific goals and they need help attaining them and need a support system for accountability.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is a type of therapy that is evidence-based and can help my clients identify and challenge negative thought patterns. It can help my clients think in a more positive manner and develop strategies to improve the quality of life. It is effective for a range of issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and eating disorders. You and I will work together as a team to foster empowerment and allow you to be in charge of your healing journey.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I use ACT to help individuals become more aware of their thoughts and feelings in addition to understanding how the thoughts influence their behavior. It really increases self-awareness, improves relationships, and reduces suffering. ACT is a powerful approach and allows you to accept what you cannot change. It combines aspects of mindfulness and behavioral therapy to help you build psychological flexibility, accept difficult emotions, and commit to actions aligned with their values.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is type of therapy that helps my clients manage their emotions, cope with challenges, and improve relationships. It helps with mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation. My clients are able to identify and put a name to their emotions to increase their awareness of why you feel the way they do. We also work to identify triggers and reduce stress around those triggers by using healthy coping strategies.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Therapy is useful for my clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues. It is also great for my clients that have a specific goal in mind and need assistance meeting it. It can decrease marital issues, marital burnout, and reduce internalizing behavioral problems.
