I am a proud native of Decatur, GA, with a deep-rooted passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Shorter University and my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. With over a decade of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. My lifelong calling has been to serve as a source of guidance, compassion, and support—helping clients work through life’s complexities, strengthen relationships, and build the skills necessary for lasting emotional well-being.
What clients can expect to take away from sessions with me is improved self-awareness and enhanced coping skills. The ability to create behavioral changes, increased self-esteem and confidence. Also, the ability to create better relationships, stress reduction, goal achievement and emotional regulation.
I maintain an open and transparent approach, drawing from my own life experiences to foster genuine connections and build trust with each client.
My therapeutic approach is a Collaborative Goal setting approach. While utilizing some common therapeutic modalities that include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused based therapy (SFBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and more. Session amounts are based on therapeutic need.
Since earning my DBT certification in 2023, I have specialized in equipping clients with effective mindfulness techniques and fostering self-directed, high-quality care to support their personal growth and well-being.
I provide couples counseling for married, dating, and premarital partners from diverse backgrounds, addressing a wide range of concerns. My approach focuses on guiding clients toward healthier communication, establishing and maintaining boundaries, and fostering deeper trust within their relationships.
