My journey to becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor was shaped by a deep desire to support others through life’s challenges—especially during times when they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or alone. Like many people, I’ve experienced how difficult it can be to navigate personal struggles without the right support system, and I’ve always been drawn to helping others find clarity, purpose, and hope during those moments. Over time, I realized that being a counselor would allow me to not only listen and empathize, but to walk alongside people as they identify their goals and uncover their inner strengths. What drives me every day is the opportunity to be part of someone’s growth—to offer a space where they feel truly heard and supported, and to help them discover that change is possible, even when it feels out of reach.

With over twenty years in the education field and over four years of clinical mental health experience in the private hospital setting, I know how important it is to have a space to talk through what is weighing on your mind, sort through the baggage, and reorganize everything in a way that allows you to enjoy life and make the most of your journey.
I bring a thoughtful, warm, and gentle dynamic to our therapy session where you can feel welcome and supported to unpack all of you, even those parts that may be hidden away. . Hello, I'm Brenda Ned, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate life challenges. My experience spans working with clients dealing with stress, anger management, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, trauma, ADHD, and social anxiety. I believe that with the right support and willingness to work towards goals, anyone can change their circumstances and improve their quality of life. My approach to therapy is rooted in several methodologies, including Rogerian, person-centered, existential, and CBT. The person-centered approach is fundamental in my practice, as it allows me to focus on your unique needs and facilitate meaningful progress through empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence. I practice active listening, ensuring you feel heard and understood by rephrasing your statements and asking pertinent questions. In our sessions, I strive to be a role model through congruence, demonstrating authenticity and consistency. My commitment to unconditional positive regard means I accept you without interrupting and avoid giving unsolicited advice. I also incorporate existential-humanistic therapy, which is hopeful, constructive, and centered on the present moment, helping you build a positive and forward-looking mindset. Cognitive- behavioral therapy is another cornerstone of my practice. CBT helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By changing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, you can improve your mental health. By changing your thought patterns, you can gain a clearer perception of your situation and identify what you can control. I genuinely care about my clients and am dedicated to helping them achieve a better quality of life. We will establish your goals and work toward them in a supportive and collaborative environment. If you're ready to take the next step towards a better future, I'm here to support you on your journey. Let's work together to create the change you seek.
