Change is possible, and you do not have to go through life’s challenges alone. With extensive counseling experience, including multiple years practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I help adults work through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues just to name a few by using practical effective tools. I strive to offer a warm, supportive space where you feel comfortable, understood, and able to grow. Taking that first step is not always easy, but it can lead to a more balanced and fulfilling life. Every journey begins with a single step, let’s take it together.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first counseling session serves as both an introduction and an initial assessment. Along with establishing rapport, we will discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, presenting concerns, and desired outcomes. This time allows for gathering relevant personal and clinical background information to inform treatment planning. You can expect a safe, confidential, and respectful environment throughout the session, typically lasting about 60 minutes. Based on the information shared, we will collaboratively develop a treatment plan that aligns with your goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, my greatest strengths lie in establishing authentic therapeutic relationships that foster trust, validation, and collaboration. I approach counseling as a client-centered and goal-oriented process, empowering individuals to gain insight, enhance coping strategies, and make sustainable life changes. I am committed to ongoing professional development and continuous education in current therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices. This dedication allows me to deliver high quality, ethical, and effective care that is responsive to the unique needs of each client.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT offers tools for managing intense emotions, tolerating distress, and improving interpersonal effectiveness. By practicing these skills, clients can feel more grounded, respond thoughtfully in difficult situations, and strengthen their relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns and develop strategies to respond in healthier, more balanced ways. This approach is structured and goal-oriented, helping clients manage stress, improve coping skills, and address a variety of challenges.
Motivational Interviewing
I utilize Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their personal motivations for change. By identifying values, strengths, and goals, clients can develop clear, achievable steps toward their desired outcomes. This approach fosters confidence and encourages sustainable, meaningful progress.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness encourages present-moment awareness with self-compassion and acceptance. These techniques can reduce stress, increase emotional flexibility, and support overall wellness. Mindfulness also helps the clients recognize how challenges in one area of life may affect other aspects of their well-being.
