New to Grow
I'm skilled in techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Crisis Interventions, Psycho-education and Coping skills. However, my theoretical orientation is Person Centered therapy. In our work together, I use a person-centered approach. That means I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. I’ll focus on understanding your perspective, being genuine in our conversations, and accepting you as you are. You're in the driver’s seat here, and I am here to walk alongside you.
Clients should expect a warm introduction from me during the first session. The first session will also allow for the client to decide if the therapist-client relationship is a good fit.
I strive to create a safe space and therapeutic environment that allows for the client to reach their recovery goals, and one that supports client well-being.
My ideal clients for therapy are those who are motivated for self-exploration; value a supportive, non-judgmental space; they benefit from a warm, empathic relationship where they can be heard, accepted, and respected without pressure or criticism; prefer a collaborative, non-directive approach; they appreciate having control over the pace and direction of therapy; and are willing to engage in the process of personal growth.
I serve clients of various populations and age ranges. Clients can feel accepted without judgment, regardless of their thoughts, behaviors, or feelings. Person-centered therapy helps my clients to feel safe enough to explore painful or confusing emotions.
