(she/her)
Hello! I have been a licensed professional counselor for the past 7 years. My goal as a therapist is to offer support to navigate through small stressors that tend to grow into bigger problems. I offer support in navigating through trauma, depression, anxiety, family conflict, low self-esteem, parenting concerns or everyday life stressors. As a therapist, I want to advocate for you and encourage motivation to succeed in spite of obstacles. Therapy is a big step to take. It's okay to feel overwhelmed in life with multiple responsibilities as a student, parent, friend, or significant other. Opening up about your fears, worries, and struggles in life can leave you feeling vulnerable. I want my you to feel seen and heard without fear of judgement. I advocate for my clients. I aim to become one of your biggest supporters. I believe in education on tools that you can use to lead a tolerable day to day life.
During our initial session, I want to get to know you and gather an understanding of the concerns that led to therapy. As a team, we will develop steps to work towards your goals, whether short-term or long-term. I want you to leave the session feeling seen, heard, and motivated for growth.
I am a relatable, easy to talk to, and an advocate. I work best with clients that are willing to hold themselves accountable and do the necessary work for a positive change.
I am looking to serve clients who are navigating daily stresses of parenting, relationships, school, depression, anxiety, managing self-care, balancing responsibilities, or just needing a listening ear. Again, we work together as a team to accomplish goals. I can’t do the work for you, but I can provide you the tools needed and guide you to an outcome that you are satisfied with.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
We have negative and positive thoughts daily that often times are automatic. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with one another.
Trauma Informed Care
I've focused more on trauma informed care in my recent counseling experience and assessments. Education on trauma is important for clients to understand how our past experiences impact our behaviors, mindset, and outlook on life.
Psychoeducation
Education on diagnoses helps clients gain a better understanding on how to manage conditions.
