New to Grow
I’m Lakeshia S. Williams, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing telehealth counseling to clients in Georgia and South Carolina. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, grief, trauma-related concerns, relationship challenges, workplace stress, burnout, low self-esteem, and major life transitions. My approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, and strengths-based support to help clients better understand their experiences, develop healthier coping skills, and create meaningful change. I provide a warm, respectful, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, recognize their strengths, and confidently move toward their personal goals.
During your first session, you will have a safe, supportive space to share what brings you to counseling, discuss your concerns, and identify what you hope to achieve. We will review relevant background information, explore your strengths and current needs, and begin developing goals for therapy. You can expect a warm, conversational experience focused on helping you feel heard, understood, and comfortable moving forward.
I bring warmth, compassion, attentive listening, and more than 22 years of experience supporting individuals and families. My approach is practical, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s needs. I help clients feel safe, heard, and respected while identifying patterns, building effective coping skills, and developing realistic solutions that support meaningful and lasting change.
My ideal client is someone who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, discouraged, or uncertain about what comes next but is ready to take steps toward positive change. I work well with adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating depression, stress, grief, relationship concerns, workplace burnout, self-esteem challenges, or major life transitions. You do not need to have everything figured out—only a willingness to be honest, explore new perspectives, and work toward greater peace, confidence, and emotional well-being.
I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, explore how they affect daily life, and develop more balanced perspectives and healthier responses. Sessions may include practicing coping strategies, problem-solving, journaling, grounding, or completing brief exercises between appointments. CBT allows clients to build practical skills they can use to manage anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, and life transitions with greater confidence.
