Darlington Ocansey
Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, problems in your marriage, grief, job stress or any other common life stressor, know that you can expect to receive help from a highly qualified therapist. My mission is to provide a safe, comfortable environment and to empower each person to find solutions to life’s difficult challenges.
First session
Your first session is an opportunity to feel heard, understood, and supported. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, challenges, and goals that may be important to your healing and growth. You’ll also have space to ask questions, share what you need from therapy, and get a sense of whether we’re a good fit to work together.
Strengths
I bring empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental presence to my sessions. I’m a good listener, and I try to create a space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest. I also bring curiosity and flexibility, because I believe every client is different and therapy should be tailored to their individual needs and goals. Most importantly, I focus on building trust and helping clients recognize their own strengths and capacity for growth.
Ideal clients
My ideal therapy client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, work through challenges, and create meaningful change in their life. They may be experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, low self-confidence, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. They are open to self-reflection and willing to explore their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships with curiosity and honesty. They don’t need to have everything figured out—they simply need to be willing to take the next step.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, self-doubt, relationship challenges, or other concerns.
