I am a qualified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC). I help clients determine whether their loved one might have a pathological condition, to understand what that means, how to avoid such relationships in the future, reduce their internal conflict, and determine whether they want to end the relationship or manage it. Often, my clients have a relationship with a person who has no diagnosable condition, yet the relationship would be considered "toxic" in that it repeatedly causes my client emotional distress. I am excited to provide perspectives and strategies to assist. I grew up in Florida and graduated from FSU with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work. I began my career in a county jail mental health unit, where I became proficient in crisis intervention, assessments, and group therapy. Since then, I have worked at an air force base, offering therapy to individuals and families, as well as a substance/mental health rehab program for the Veteran's Administration. I have also volunteered with survivors of gun violence who are grieving and/or coping with trauma. I love being a therapist! It’s humbling to be a part of my clients’ lives as they heal, grow, and go after their goals.

You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin — that's okay. I know that first step can feel like the hardest one to take. All you need is the willingness to take it. I help adults who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, trauma, chronic health conditions, pain, or major life changes reconnect with themselves and feel more in control of their lives. I began my social work career in 2006 in medical social work, hospice, and home health, supporting individuals and families through chronic illness, serious health concerns, loss, and difficult transitions. These experiences shaped my understanding of the deep connection between physical health and emotional well-being. I became a mental health provider because I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, supported, and empowered. I'm passionate about helping people regain a sense of themselves, find hope, and develop tools to move forward through trauma, stress, and difficult circumstances. Sometimes life simply becomes too much, and it's okay to say, "This is hard," and ask for help. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist, and EMDRIA Approved Consultant-in-Training. I primarily work with adults navigating life transitions, chronic health conditions, pain, medical trauma, and traumatic experiences. My approach is integrative and individualized, drawing from EMDR, Brainspotting, clinical hypnosis, IFS-informed and parts-based approaches, Ego State Therapy, Imaginal Nurturing, and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), tailored to each client's needs and goals. I believe wellness is holistic — we don't get sick one way, and we don't get well one way. Mental and physical health are deeply connected, and I'm here to support your whole-person well-being through counseling, so you can get back to being you and enjoy life again.

Congratulations on taking the first step towards healing, despite feeling worried or unsure, perhaps even hopeful, despite misgivings. Choosing to change is difficult, and you are doing it!! With 26 years of practice, I bring professional expertise, personal understanding, sincerity, warmth and caring to your healing journey. Whether you’re navigating life solo or in a relationship, unresolved childhood trauma can quietly shape your patterns, reactions, and relationships. I help individuals and couples uncover those early wounds and start healing—through psychotherapy grounded in neuroscience and mindfulness. Because healing isn’t just talk; it’s nervous system deep. The body keeps the score, but you get to rewrite the story. Let’s create the life you were always meant to live. Not all therapies or therapists are created equal, as you know if you are still struggling with the same issues. Time for a change. If you want to feel better about yourself, confident, excited about life, build healthier relationships, and become your best self, welcome to creating your best life. Together, we'll integrate Mind/Body/Spirit approaches with classical therapeutic interventions tailored to your unique needs.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 34 years of professional experience providing psychotherapy services. I speak English and Spanish. I provide my clients with a unique approach, helping them to identify and achieve specific therapy goals in a confidential, empathetic, and trusting atmosphere. I help individuals understand their current circumstances in order to make changes that will have lasting positive effects. I use an Insight approach, where I help, a better understanding of themselves, which leads to “individualized solutions”. My treatment approach is short-term, problem-oriented therapy sustained by my psychoanalytic background i. I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral, psycho-educational, and humanistic modalities, as well as evidence-based techniques. I strive to create a balance within my therapeutic approach based on my client’s particular needs and preferences. I have had the honor to serve a diversity of individuals and their families in a variety of settings, such as community mental health, crisis helplines, and outpatient programs (in a hospital setting). This was the first step. This is a safe space where you can create a vision for your life, along with an action plan and strategies for how to achieve your goals once you have identified them. I’m a mental health therapist with more than thirteen years of experience, and my practice is grounded in honoring each client as a whole person. From the moment you enter session, you are respected, appreciated, and offered a space where you can speak freely and disclose only what feels right for you. Safety, dignity, and autonomy guide every part of our work together. Clinically, I draw from evidenced based approaches such as ERP, CBT, TRAP/TRAC, mindful‑living practices, and intentional space for processing — blending structure with openness so clients can explore both the practical and the deeply personal. My greatest strengths as a therapist are working with individuals struggling with OCD (you don't have to be afraid to speak your intrusive thoughts in my sessions. I am trained to understand the difference of ego dystonic intrusive thoughts that don't align with your true values and beliefs), Panic Attacks, Generalized Anxiety, Depression., aging and life transitions. Individuals struggling with eating disorders will be given referrals for treatment of this disorder. If chosen by the client, I can also help integrate Christian beliefs into treatment in a way that supports their healing, values, and sense of meaning. My role is to walk alongside you, offering evidence‑based care that aligns with who you are and how you want to grow.

I provide a variety of individual, family, and group counseling and healing services. My practice combines traditional humanistic and cognitive oriented psychotherapy approaches with holistic guidance and advanced mind-body and energetic healing methods (such as hypnotherapy, meditation, Reiki, mindfulness, energy psychology, emotional release, trauma healing, sound healing) that can foster deep healing and more rapid transformation - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I have worked as a counselor for close to 30 years and have trained in a wide spectrum of counseling and healing methods. My intention is to provide a client-centered approach to identify which resources will best support clients and promote well-being and solutions that truly enhance life and build resilience. I'm a native of South Florida and studied psychology and counseling at the University of Miami. While beginning my career providing counseling for children and adolescents and their families. I went through a process of spiritual exploration and self-discovery leading to subsequent training in hypnotherapy, Reiki and energy healing, energy psychology, meditation, sound healing, trauma healing, and other complementary and alternative healing methods. As a part of sharing my skills and expertise I became an author, with books available on Amazon, and I'm an amateur musician performing as "Jedi Shaman." I provide counseling and healing services with a holistic orientation, which refers to addressing the "whole" person and the systems and environments the person is a part of. This approach incorporates cognitive, humanistic, family systems, and psychodynamic therapies as well as transpersonal psychological therapies, hypnosis, energy psychology, expressive therapies, mind-body healing modalities, and vibrational/energetic healing approaches, as well as somatic therapies and addressing biological systems with herbs, essential oils, diet, and nutritional interventions. As a multi-talented, compassionate counselor with extensive knowledge and diverse experience I am grateful to be a part of each client's healing path.

I am willing and able to help anyone regardless of ethnicity or gender identity. That said, I do have a special interest in the needs and struggles of black people (particularly black women) in our country. I'm fairly casual but have been told I "Clean up well", and clients have told me in the past they appreciate that I do not come across as "stuffy". I daydream of going on cruises with my wife, occasionally think about bringing our children along. I treasure a long nap in a hammock, and I love movies. Once upon a time I even submitted a short film to the Cannes Film Festival (wasn't selected) but I did enter. Clinically, I work with a foundation of Solution Focus and Systemic Therapy, with attributes of Narrative, Structural and/or Strategic. *** I do not provide animal support letters or ESA documentation, disability-related paperwork, and fit for work evaluation documentation. Additionally, court-mandated evaluations, divorce or custody agreement related paperwork would be out of the scope of my practice, therefore is not something I engage in at this time.
