Hi, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 25 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & parenting issues. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy takes courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we'll start with introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and some of your strengths that will help me with creating a tailored plan for us to work with during our follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With 25 years of experience working with a variety of individuals in many different settings and situations, I am able to be flexible with the style of treatment approaches that will meet your specific needs.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a great short-term therapy approach that I often use in therapy. These sessions and activities will help you understand the relationship between your beliefs and the resulting thoughts and behaviors. These negative beliefs and thoughts can be challenged so that you are able to live a more satisfying life.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy will allow you to direct the therapy sessions based on what you want to work on and discuss during the session. In doing so, you will be able to identify the areas of change that are needed and you are best equipped to address.

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology can assist you in realizing and improving on the areas of your life that are going well and use those skills to improve areas of concern.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution focused brief therapy is a short term therapeutic approach to assist you in working through issues in your present and gaining skills to enhance your future, rather than focusing on issues in your past that may have led you to seek help.
