Coming to your first session, it's okay to feel unsure. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. We will talk about what's been going on in your life, what you've been struggling with and what you would like to be different. There is no pressure to share everything all at once, I will go at your pace. My style with clients is supportive and conversational. I want to reassure my clients about the pace and safety of my counseling style, you are in control, never any judgment. My style is relaxed and conversational, not an interrogarion. I focus on creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard and supported. By the end of the session, you'll have a better sense of how I work and we'll begin to identify some initial goals and what will be the next steps together. Most clients tell me they feel more at ease than expected after the first session.
