My approach is compassionate, non-judgmental and practical. I believe in creating a safe space while also helping you develop real-life tools for change. My specialties are in the areas of adult transitions (male/female), relationship challenges and clinical issues such as anxiety, and depression. My intensive clinical training and therapeutic skills help many people navigate through life's inherent up and downs, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Coping Skills Development with a Solution-Focused approach. and Strengths-Based Therapy). I bring to my work my sincere interest in the well-being of my clients and seek to build trusting relationships that foster growth for my clients in a confidential and judgment-free environment. Each client's problem is unique and I seek to help my clients help themselves, helping them discover their strengths. Coming to your first session, it's okay to feel unsure. Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if it's your first time. We will talk about what's been going on in your life, what you've been struggling with and what you would like to be different. There is no pressure to share everything all at once, I will go at your pace. My style with clients is supportive and conversational. I want to reassure my clients about the pace and safety of my counseling style, you are in control, never any judgment. My style is relaxed and conversational, not an interrogarion. I focus on creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard and supported. By the end of the session, you'll have a better sense of how I work and we'll begin to identify some initial goals and what will be the next steps together. Who are my dream clients? Adults, Couples, Individuals experiencing life transitions, Elders, also Male or Female life transitions. My ideal clients are adults who are experiencing struggles in life, anxiety or emotionally overwhelmed. They may feel stuck and unsure of how to move forward, but are open to exploring their patterns and making meaningful change. I work best with individuals who are motivated to grow and develp healthier coping strategies and want to build a stronger sense of self.

I will help you develop practical coping skills for issues such as anxiety, depression, stress and other mental health concerns.

My experience will be to help you find strength and solutions to concerning problems in your life. Strengths-based therapy is evidence-based counseling to help you focus on your strengths, resources and resilience rather then deficits. I use positive psychology aiming to empower you by utilizing your internal and external assets to foster growth and well-being.
