New to Grow
I am a compassionate, client-centered therapist dedicated to helping adults navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, emotional balance, and resilience. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can process difficult experiences, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and Christian counseling when desired, helping clients heal, grow, and move forward with confidence and purpose.
During our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy at this point in your life. We will explore your current concerns, relevant personal history, emotional experiences, and the goals you hope to achieve through counseling. This session is also an opportunity for you to share what has or has not worked for you in the past and discuss any preferences you may have for the therapeutic process. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. Together, we will begin identifying areas of focus and developing a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. The first session is also a chance for us to determine whether we are a good fit to work together and to answer any questions you may have about therapy.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my deep empathy and ability to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. I believe meaningful healing begins when people feel seen without judgment, and I strive to build strong therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, compassion, and respect. I bring years of experience working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, which has strengthened my ability to provide culturally sensitive and individualized care. My clinical experience includes working in psychiatric hospitals and outpatient treatment programs, where I have supported clients facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. These experiences have equipped me to work effectively with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relational difficulties, life transitions, and complex emotional distress. In addition, my pastoral background provides me with a strong foundation for integrating faith-based support for clients who desire Christian counseling as part of their healing journey. I understand the important role that spirituality can play in emotional wellness and personal growth. My therapeutic approach combines empathy with practical, evidence-based interventions. I work collaboratively with clients to increase self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to help clients feel supported, empowered, and equipped with the tools needed for emotional healing and resilience.
I am best positioned to work with adults who are seeking greater emotional balance, clarity, and healing as they navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, family stress, grief, and unresolved emotional pain. Many of the clients I work with are individuals who have spent much of their lives caring for others, meeting responsibilities, and pushing through difficult circumstances, but are now recognizing the need to focus on their own emotional well-being and personal growth. I work especially well with clients who are ready to explore how past experiences may be influencing present thoughts, emotions, and relationship patterns. My ideal clients are open to self-reflection and motivated to develop healthier coping skills, improve communication, establish stronger boundaries, and create more fulfilling relationships. I also work well with individuals who value integrating faith into the therapeutic process and are seeking Christian counseling alongside evidence-based clinical care. This includes clients who want to strengthen their emotional health while exploring how their spiritual beliefs can support healing, resilience, and decision-making. Whether a client is looking to reduce emotional distress, improve relationships, process grief or disappointment, or gain a stronger sense of self, I provide a supportive and practical space focused on meaningful, lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and supportive psychotherapy to help clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional distress. My clinical work focuses on helping clients identify patterns of thinking, emotional responses, and behaviors that may be contributing to current difficulties.
Christian Counseling
For clients seeking Christian counseling, I thoughtfully integrate biblical principles, faith-based reflection, prayer (when requested), and spiritual exploration into the therapeutic process. This approach allows clients to process emotional struggles through both a clinical and spiritual lens, helping them draw on their faith as a source of strength, healing, and guidance.
