Painful experiences often lead people to develop protective strategies to manage overwhelming emotions. These strategies may appear as perfectionism, emotional avoidance, anger toward loved ones, or repeated involvement in unhealthy relationships. While they can offer temporary relief, they often create disconnection from oneself and others, contributing to feelings of loneliness, shame, anxiety, and depression.
I am dedicated to helping individuals strengthen their sense of self worth and process traumatic experiences that contribute to insecure attachment and unhelpful patterns. I believe that although emotional wounds often occur within relationships, healing also takes place through safe and supportive connection. With compassion, courage, and a willingness to explore difficult experiences, meaningful and lasting change is possible. Healing can happen, and there is always hope.
I am someone who believes all people have the capacity to heal, grow, and live fully when given the right support. I recognize that life has many challenges and sometimes we just need help in facing the obstacles in our way. I became interested in psychology and understanding people after my brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia and I saw a drastic change in who he was as a person. This journey of trying to understand people, started in middle school, continued through college where I fell in love with Psychology, and into my masters program where I got a degree in Social Work. I started a career as a mental health therapist in 2019, and I continue my journey of learning and growing to better serve the needs of my clients now and in the future.
My name is Algelis Gonzalez, though I am commonly known as Al. My motivation to become a therapist stems from my personal journey. Growing up in a Latino culture, I developed a curiosity about people both within my community and beyond. This curiosity has driven me to understand the reasons behind our behaviors, both positive and negative. Throughout my career as a therapist, I continue to learn and grow, drawing from the vast knowledge available in the field.
I am deeply committed to helping my clients embrace their true selves, regardless of their personality traits—whether they are humorous, quiet and shy, hesitant to trust, or feeling frustrated with the world. I believe that everyone is welcome in my practice. Recognizing that none of us are perfect and that we are all striving to make sense of life’s complexities, I focus on exploring my clients’ experiences with respect and understanding. My goal is to facilitate their growth in ways they may not have previously thought possible.
I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of Florida, Virginia, Illinois and Massachusetts , with experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness based techniques. I am passionate about supporting clients through times of change and personal growth.
I’ve been passionate about psychology since I was eighteen, when I began studying it in Cuba. My mother once told me she had always dreamed of being a psychologist but had to follow another path—and that dream inspired my own. After completing my degree in Cuba, where I worked in inpatient and school settings, I continued my journey in the United States and earned my master’s degree in psychology.
Over the years, I’ve worked with children, families, and adults through moments of crisis, grief, and major life transitions. My experience with multidisciplinary teams has taught me to see each person as a whole—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Healing happens when we look at the full picture of someone’s life, not just their symptoms.

Hi there! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the states of Florida and Maine with over 10 years of clinical experience. I specialize in working with adults and teens struggling with issues related to stress and coping with life’s changes, anxiety, trauma, identity, body image, self-esteem, and LBTQIA+. I earned my undergraduate degree from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton Virginia where I majored in Sociology. I continued my education at Springfield College in Springfield Massachusetts and earned my master's degree in Social Work.
Hi, I'm Katie, a Licensed Clinical Social.
Helping and supporting others has been a driving factor in my life; therefore, I began my career as a teacher. My education and experience in the classroom greatly influenced me; however, I saw how difficult it is to learn when one is struggling with many emotional and mental health needs. While in graduate school, I transitioned to working with families in more of a case management role. During that time, I started noticing how the adults I worked with were often struggling and had not received the help they needed. After completing graduate school, I began working in an inpatient hospital that treats mental health and chemical dependency. After several years working with patients individually and facilitating group therapy, I transitioned to managing an intensive outpatient mental health program for senior adults. In this role, I facilitated group therapy and met with patients individually at times. I greatly enjoyed getting to know my clients and cheering alongside them as they made progress. While I value group therapy, I recognize that it is not the right fit for everyone. Therefore, I have set up a private practice to meet the needs of individuals in ways I was unable to do in previous roles. I believe change is possible and that each person has strengths and life experiences that they can draw upon to help themselves move forward. My passion is helping clients utilize what they already have, learn additional tools for coping, and develop healthier ways of thinking.
DeMarkus Grayson-Rhule has been practicing systemic therapy since 2019, utilizing this training in various contexts, such as crisis intervention and school-based care. My approach to therapy is a collaborative and solution-focused one, where we tackle the set goals together. I believe client's already have the tools necessary to confront their problems and that we tend to forget that. Thus it is my goal to help my clients figure out which tools to use when facing problems.

Hello there! My name is Elizabeth Taylor and I am in Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been working as a counselor for the past 9 years, although I have been working in the mental health field for much longer. I began working as a Mental Health Technician when I was an Airman in the United States Air Force in 2007. I worked closely with military men and women returning from deployments and experiencing symptoms of PTSD. I led Anger Management and Stress Management groups. This experience grew my desire to enter into a field that involved helping those struggling with mental health challenges to find healing. I separated from the Air Force and went into grad school. Since graduating, I have worked as a therapist with several different populations, including families involved with the foster care system, adult inmates in a prison, youth in the Juvenile Justice system, adults in community mental health, children in the school setting, and, most recently, adults and children in private practice. I have a passion for working with those suffering with anxiety, OCD, and trauma. I have specialized training in EMDR to help treat trauma, as well as ERP, which has been shown to be the "Gold Standard" treatment for OCD. I am also certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which guides much of my approach to emotion regulation.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I received my Masters from the Florida Atlantic University, my Bachelors from University of Florida and I have been practicing for 13 years. I use my skills to meet my clients where they are at and help them to move forward and define a life worth living.
We will work together to achieve your goals.
I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist who believes that healing begins with authenticity and self-acceptance. My work centers on creating a safe, inclusive space where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to explore all parts of their identity. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors intersect, and to reframe patterns that may no longer serve them. I also draw on distress tolerance and emotional regulation techniques to support clients in managing difficult emotions with compassion and resilience.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that each person has the capacity for growth and change. I strive to meet clients where they are, honoring their lived experiences while guiding them toward greater confidence, balance, and authenticity. My goal is to help individuals not just cope, but truly thrive — living unapologetically as themselves.
Social work chose me! When I wrote my personal essay for my MSW, I realized social work had always surrounded me. I remember helping elderly neighbors, teaching friends how to count money, and researching services for my autistic brother. There were so many events between those gaps and yet to come. I always desired to help people. My brother’s diagnosis widened my eyes to my calling, but life had other plans for me and I became a secretary. As a secretary, I found myself being hired in the mental health arena, including the areas of AIDS research, mental health, addiction services, and college counseling. Social work is my second career but it's always been my first passion. I pull from both my personal and professional experiences and allow these experiences to teach and mold me.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience across diverse settings, I am committed to meeting clients where they are, honoring their unique journeys - emotionally, mentally, and situationally. Rooted in empathy, collaboration, and respect my approach centers on recognizing and building upon each individual's inherent strengths, empowering them to create meaningful and lasting change in their lives.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/LCSW. I received my Masters in Social Work/M.S.W. from Barry University in 1993. I am intensely trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy/DBT. I love spending time with my family and friends.
I received a Bachelor in Science/B.S. from The University of Florida in 1988. I enjoyed my major in Psychology. At this point I knew I wanted to pursue a career as a Clinical provider.
My friends always encouraged me to live my dream. Fast forward to the present time and here I am living my dream as a therapist. My experience as a therapist has been rewarding as well as providing me with life lessons and self-growth. My mental health has always been a priority. I practice habits on a daily basis that I share and assist my clients with.
