I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 16 years of experience. I completed my master’s in counseling psychology at Trinity International University, South Florida Campus, in 2008. Graduating from Trinity International University has given me excellent opportunities to deeply integrate my faith into practice, primarily with clients of Christian backgrounds. My counseling experiences include residential, outpatient, and online settings for clients suffering from various mental and social health issues. Being in the counseling field as a licensed mental health therapist over the past several years has equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and abilities to provide the best possible care to all my clients.
Experience: Domestic Violence, Trauma, Grief, Anger Management, Self-esteem, Coping with life changes, Abandonment Issues, Homelessness, Chronic Medical Condition, Depression, Anxiety, Stress, and balancing life through faith in Jesus Christ.
My path to becoming a mental health provider started with a deep interest in understanding people’s inner worlds and how early experiences shape who we become. I’ve always been drawn to helping others feel seen, heard, and supported, especially during difficult times. Throughout my graduate training, I had the opportunity to work in community mental health and high school counseling settings. Those experiences exposed me to a wide range of clients, from young adults navigating identity & stress to individuals coping with long-standing patterns of emotional pain. I found myself drawn to working with clients who experienced depression and anxiety because these conditions can be so isolating & yet so treatable with the right kind of support.

I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Florida International University. My style is warm and supportive, yet challenging. I meet you where you are and walk alongside you as you move toward the life you were created to live but remember, you have to do the work to get there.

Hi, I am a licensed mental health counselor who focuses on identity transformation! I work with those who feel the achievements are there, yet still feels misaligned in what you do versus who you truly are. This identity crisis shows up in subtle ways - the anxiety that greets you before meetings, the exhaustion from maintaining the "strong Black woman" image, the longing for relationships where you can finally be real.
I want you to know that transformation is possible. That having more alignment and authenticity in the way you show up is possible. In our work together, we'll move beyond just understanding why you code-switch or people-please and help your system find its way back to your truth using Internal Family Systems therapy.
Imagine walking into any room fully grounded in who you are. Picture making decisions from your core self, not from old wounds. It's time to transform your relationship with yourself - to heal those outdated identities and create a life that truly feels like yours.
In therapy, I counsel individuals, families, couples, and children. No matter how trivial an issue may seem, everyone has issues in life. If it is causing you emotional pain, that is a good reason to seek out help. I understand everyone has a different journey in their lives and I would like to assist you in your path to self-discovery and healing. Your issues may be stress, loneliness, sadness, frustration, or concern for a loved one. You are not alone and I am ready to help you explore strategies to help you improve your life. Each session is provided in a warm and compassionate environment.
I will ask you some questions so I can understand which issues you want to focus on. Therapy is a process of learning and the rewards are great. You will develop parts of yourself that you did not know existed. This will help you to become a better parent, partner, and best friend to yourself and your loved ones. Are you ready to take that step of self-discovery to become the best version of yourself? I want to guide you in your path to self-discovery, happiness, and peace.
I have been counseling clients for over 24 years and I work with all populations. My counseling modalities include Cognitive behavioral therapy, Solution-focused, and Person-Centered therapy. I am a licensed therapist and have a Masters Degree in counseling. I have spent many years counseling children, adolescents, and adults. Although therapy may look different with each population, the process is equally meaningful in all sessions.

Hello! My name is Lynnette Montañez and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist and 12 years working with children and and families. Hello, it will soon be great to meet you as you visit my Grow Therapy Provider Profile. I'm Jacqueline Gibb, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I work with all ages in the Tampa FL area. You can meet with me for an in-office visit or teletherapy. I enjoy working with clients who feel they struggle with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, focus and concentration issues, ADHD, and obsessive-compulsive disorder to name a few. It can be frustrating when an individual is struggling emotionally with more negative than positive feelings and it can keep an individual feeling stuck in their emotional pain. I have diligently studied the understanding of the amygdala in the brain and how the amygdala and hippocampus interprets emotional, physical, and sexual abuse that can keep a person feeling that they can't break free from the negative memories of their past. Also, these painful memories will continue to remind individuals of the traumatic event(s) they went through. Remember, you're not alone and you are valuable. The trainings that I've received can move you forward toward your life goals and the good news is that you and I working together to reduce the negative thoughts and feelings you have had to suffer through. Now, you can obtain the sense of belonging and joy you deserve in this life without negative thoughts and feelings popping up in your head when you least expect them. I also believe psychoeducation is an important part of the healing process. This helps you to understand certain types of thinking patterns and behavior reactions the human brain does and how you can reduce and stop those type of negative feelings as you move forward with healing.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating individuals with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I work with all faith denominations, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
It takes courage to reach for a more fulfilling and happier life! By making an appointment with me, you're taking the first brave step towards change. If you're ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you to move boldly into your future!

Hi, I’m Anakarla.
If you’ve been feeling anxious, stuck, hard on yourself, or unsure of who you’re becoming, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to sort it out by yourself. Many of the people I work with are used to “holding it together” on the outside, while quietly feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or questioning their direction on the inside.
I’m a Latina therapist who believes therapy should feel warm, supportive, and rooted in real connection, not clinical or distant. My approach is collaborative and person-centered, which means we move at your pace and work together as a team. I see you as the expert of your own life, and my role is to help you make sense of your experiences, gently challenge what’s not serving you, and support you in building a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.
Our work together is a mix of reflection and action. We’ll explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and relationships, while also building practical tools you can use in your everyday life. I often incorporate approaches like CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness, but in a way that feels natural, not overwhelming or overly technical. Think of it as creating a toolkit that helps you not just cope, but feel more grounded, confident, and intentional in how you live.
I also believe healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy. When it feels right, I bring in humor and lightness to help you feel more at ease and human in the process.

My name is Mike and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida. Throughout my career, my goal has been to help others to better understand the difficulties they are facing and find a path to work through those challenges. I accomplish this goal by openly and without judgement, meeting the client where they are. My approach includes principles from multiple theorists, each having their own benefits dependent on the issues that are being faced. Our focus will be on the present, the here and now. When necessary as part of developing better understanding, we will look at past events and triggers for how they have informed the present, but we are in the present. We will work collaboratively to better understand current problems, we'll set realistic goals for progress and develop skills necessary to not only overcome current issues but face future concerns as well.
My areas of practice include working with blended families, intimacy issues, infertility/adoption decisions, grief and loss, stages of life, as well as compassion fatigue/care giver issues along with anxiety, stress, and depression.
You've taken the important first steps in this journey to a healthier you. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you but ultimately whether you choose to work with me or another counselor I hope you are able to gain a better understanding of yourself and create brighter future.

If you’re going through divorce, loss, or feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from yourself, we’ll work at a pace that feels right for you—while still moving forward.
If you’re ready for more than just talking and want real progress, we may be a good fit.
