New to Grow
Hello! I’m Crystal a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. I believe therapy should be a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, stress, and behavioral concerns. My background includes outpatient therapy, crisis intervention, hospital settings, and forensic mental health, allowing me to support clients with a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and individualized. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, strengths-based therapy, and solution-focused techniques to help clients build practical coping skills while addressing the underlying causes of emotional distress. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, struggling with relationships, coping with trauma, or simply looking for a supportive place to grow, my goal is to help you feel empowered, build resilience, and move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life. Together, we’ll create realistic goals and celebrate progress every step of the way.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and the goals you’d like to achieve. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences while ensuring you always feel respected and in control of the conversation. You never have to share anything before you’re ready. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, challenges, and areas where therapy can help. We’ll also discuss practical coping strategies that you can start using right away if appropriate. By the end of our first session, we’ll work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and goals. My hope is that you’ll leave the session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the journey ahead.
believe one of my greatest strengths is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds. I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and culturally sensitive environment where clients feel safe being themselves without fear of judgment. I balance empathy with gentle accountability. While I provide emotional support and validation, I also challenge unhelpful thought patterns and encourage clients to step outside their comfort zones when they’re ready for growth. Therapy with me is collaborative , we work together to identify practical solutions while exploring the deeper issues that contribute to emotional distress. My experience in crisis intervention, trauma treatment, behavioral health, and forensic settings has strengthened my ability to remain calm, compassionate, and solution-focused even during life’s most difficult moments. As a bilingual therapist, I also understand the importance of cultural identity, family dynamics, and the unique experiences many individuals face. I want clients to leave each session feeling understood, equipped with practical tools, and confident that meaningful change is possible. My goal is not only to help you cope with today’s challenges but also to build lasting skills that support long-term emotional well-being.
I work best with adolescents, and adults who are ready to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their lives. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, stress, life transitions, low self-esteem, or difficulty managing emotions. I also enjoy supporting parents, families, and individuals navigating behavioral concerns, cultural adjustments, and major life changes. My ideal clients are open to learning new coping skills, improving communication, increasing emotional awareness, and working collaboratively toward their goals. Whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or returning after previous treatment, I strive to meet you where you are and tailor treatment to your unique needs. I believe lasting growth happens when clients feel safe, supported, and empowered to make positive changes at their own pace.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful thinking patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship challenges, and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. I believe therapy should be collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented. In addition to CBT, I incorporate mindfulness, strengths-based techniques, Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care when appropriate. I don’t just want clients to feel better during our sessions—I want them to leave with practical coping skills they can use in everyday life. My goal is to empower clients to build resilience, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and develop the confidence to navigate life’s challenges long after therapy ends.
