My undergraduate degree was earned at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and my graduate degree earned at the University of North Florida. Additionally, my counseling experience has included inpatient, outpatient, and crisis stabilization units within the Florida Department of Corrections. I also served as the mental health authority within medium to low-risk juvenile inpatient programs. My experience also includes working within community social service agencies and Medicaid programs. In my years of professional experience, I have found that Depressive and Anxiety Disorders are managed best using Psychotherapy. Whereas many clients may find it helpful to include Antidepressant/Antianxiety medications, it has been my experience that medications alone are less effective and are often supported by Counseling Intervention with a Professional Counselor.

Hi I’m Lisa. I am a licensed mental health counselor who specializes in trauma. You may think you do not have trauma, but I have experience with working with all levels of trauma.
