LISW, 20 years of experience
New to Grow
Welcome! My name is Diana and I am an Ohio State University graduate with a Master's Degree in Social Work. I am licensed in Ohio (LISW-S) and Florida (LCSW). My clinical background began in medical social work, where I provided counseling to patients experiencing anxiety and depression brought on by medical illness. In 2020, I expanded my work to support adults with life event changes, stress, motivation, self-esteem, relationship concerns, family stressors, and career pressures. My counseling style is warm and relational. I operate from a client-centered therapy perspective. I am committed to building a trusting relationship through listening, honesty, and empathy. I look forward to supporting you and helping you take the first steps to feeling better.
In our initial session, my focus is to create an open space where you feel safe and heard. I encourage you to share your story at your own pace. From there, we will work together to identify any barriers and develop treatment goals.
Meeting each person where they are currently at is paramount to building a solid therapeutic relationship. Change doesn't happen overnight. Patience is elemental. No one is perfect. Lets work together to figure out how to define good mental health and wellness.
I am most familiar helping clients navigate life transitions, chronic illness, and stress. Sharing experiences and perspectives allow room to explore feelings, evaluate behavior, and affect change.
In order for meaningful change to occur, we need to consider how our thoughts and feelings affect our actions and behaviors. CBT allows us to explore any negative patterns, reframe our thinking, and create healthier coping skills to manage difficult life events and transitions.
Your own strengths can be identified and used to problem solve and find solutions to challenging situations and circumstances. SFT empowers clients to recognize and utilize their own inner resources to set manageable steps to overcome life's obstacles.
Incorporating mindfulness and practicing acceptance can help us develop a deeper connection to ourselves, work through difficult situations, and manage feelings of stress and anxiety. ACT encourages emotional flexibility and personal growth.
