As a therapist, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and practical space where clients can explore what they are experiencing, better understand their thoughts and emotions, and develop healthier ways of coping, communicating, and making decisions. I work with clients facing anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, grief, family concerns, and personal growth issues.
My approach is compassionate, structured, and collaborative. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, strengths-based counseling, psychoeducation, and relationship-centered approaches to help clients gain insight and apply practical tools in their everyday lives.
At the heart of my work is the belief that people can heal, grow, and build more meaningful lives and relationships when they are given the right support, guidance, and encouragement.
Hi, I'm Diana. I'm a licensed clinical social worker of Latina, Dominican heritage, bilingual in English and Spanish. I bring years of clinical experience across school-based social work, foster care, supportive housing, and outpatient therapy in New York and Florida. I work with clients of all ages, from early childhood through late adulthood. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing on CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, somatic work, and mindfulness. I tailor each session to what my client needs. I'm also continually expanding my training, so clients receive current, evidence-based care.
Hi, I’m Mikaela, a mental health therapist who works with teens, young adults, and individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, substance use, emotion regulation challenges, and difficult life transitions. I also specialize in working with individuals involved in the court system. I use TF-CBT, DBT, and psychodynamic therapy to help clients process trauma, better understand patterns in their thoughts and behaviors, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping skills. My approach is direct, compassionate, and focused on creating a safe space for clients to be themselves openly and honestly.
You may have experienced therapy before and know what it is like to have a space to talk. My work offers something a little different.
I work with women who are often the ones others depend on the mothers, caregivers, professionals, helpers, and women who have learned how to keep things moving even when they are carrying a lot themselves.
You do not have to be in crisis to want therapy. You may be grieving, navigating a major life transition, feeling overwhelmed or anxious, questioning what no longer fits, or simply wanting a space where nothing is being asked of you.
As a Black woman and therapist, I am especially intentional about creating space for Black women and other women of color to speak freely without having to translate or minimize their experiences.
You do not need to arrive with everything figured out. We can begin with where you are.
I am happy you are considering a more satisfying way of life. Believe me, it is my pleasure to help you do that. Together, we can look at disappointments, core beliefs that support dysfunction, and determine the best way out. All that will be asked of you is to participate in therapy with the courage and honesty needed to be truthful about what is getting in the way of achieving your goals, be willing to cope with fear and learn something new. In addition, along the way we will practice guided meditation and visualization with progressive muscle relaxation as a means to facilitate improved focus and mindfulness.

THERAPY FOR WOMEN IN MIDLIFE — INCLUDING THERAPISTS
You're the one others rely on — at work and at home. You show up for everyone. You keep everything running — managing your career and your household, and often growing kids and aging parents at the same time. Somewhere along the way, you stopped making it onto your own list. It's all becoming too heavy — now you're starting to feel it, emotionally and physically.
Therapy at Seaside is a space to pause, reflect, and start to feel like yourself again.
HI, I'M GAIL — THERAPIST & OWNER OF SEASIDE MENTAL WELLNESS.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with nearly 30 years in the field, much of it spent inside the healthcare system, supporting women through some of the most significant moments of their lives.
IN MIDLIFE, IT'S RARELY JUST ONE THING. The anxiety that increases in your late 30s. The moment in your 40s when you catch yourself thinking, "I don't feel like myself anymore". A marriage, a career, even your body — things that stop fitting in your 50s. These chapters are part of the same story. The anxiety, the burnout, the transitions, the emotional side of perimenopause tend to arrive at once, overlapping one another. We can untangle this together.
SEASIDE IS RECOGNIZED LOCALLY AND TRUSTED STATEWIDE: SRQ Magazine's 2026 Platinum Winner (Best Local Mental Health Service) and 2025 Silver Winner (Best Local Therapist) , plus Guide to Florida's 2026 (Best Individual Therapist) and 2025 Regional Winner (Best Therapy Practice).
SEASIDE IS BASED IN LAKEWOOD RANCH, serving women in Bradenton and Sarasota — and across the Gulf Coast, from Tampa to Naples. All sessions are online, so support fits your life, without the traffic, the waiting room, or the time off work.
When we feel called to work on our inner selves, we look for an experienced mental health professional who can help us navigate the complexities of modern life, as well as our inner thoughts and feelings.
I'm Cynthia C. Wingate, MA, LMHC. I have a combination of private practice experience and cultural awareness that allows me to relate to each client with knowledge and compassion. I appreciate your interest in working with me.
I graduated Summa cum laude from University of North Florida with a master's in counseling psychology.
I'm also a graduate grant recipient for academic excellence and published co-author in The Journal of Social Psychology. In 2017, while living and practicing in Delaware, I shepherded a bill into law, ensuring others in my field would be able to practice in Delaware while holding certification from another U.S. state.

Are you struggling with challenges that affect your emotional health and wellbeing? Do past experiences feel like they're limiting your potential? Are you looking for a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings?
I'm a licensed psychotherapist who believes the therapeutic relationship is the most powerful catalyst for change. My goal is to partner with you toward your desired goals in a supportive, collaborative environment — working together to foster positive change and build strategies for self-empowerment.
I'm trained in EMDR therapy, based on the idea that our brains have a natural system for processing experiences so we can retain what serves our growth. When disturbing experiences overwhelm that system — or we lack the context to make sense of what happened — the effects can linger. EMDR uses bilateral (left-right) stimulation to activate the brain's natural processing system, helping you work through difficult experiences and release what no longer serves you.
I believe our past shapes our present and future, in both adaptive and maladaptive ways. I'd be honored to help you on your journey toward inner peace, self-love, and fulfillment.
Hello and Welcome! Are you feeling overwhelmed or in need of someone to talk to? I provide a warm, compassionate, and respectful approach to counseling in a safe and supportive environment. I aim to help you feel heard, valued, and empowered as we navigate the challenges you're facing—whether it's anxiety, depression, or anything else that's on your mind.
It would be my honor to walk alongside you, build a trusting relationship, and support you in finding clarity, strength, and solutions.
Can’t find a convenient appointment time? Just send me a message—I’ll do my best to find a day and time that works perfectly for you.
Do you ever feel stuck, like no matter how hard you try, you keep ending up right where you started? Are fear and self-doubt holding you back from reaching your goals or living the life you want? You’re not alone — and the good news is, change is absolutely possible.
I’m here to help you move forward with confidence and clarity. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or simply trying to make sense of life’s transitions, my goal is to support you in creating meaningful and lasting change. With experience working with children, adults, and couples in both outpatient and inpatient settings, I’ve helped many individuals improve their emotional well-being and discover a renewed sense of balance and purpose.
Change can be challenging, but you don’t have to face it by yourself. Together, we’ll build the tools, insight, and resilience you need to move toward the life you deserve — one step at a time.

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who primarily works with men navigating relationship challenges, communication difficulties, anger, and emotional regulation. I understand that reaching out for therapy isn’t always easy, especially for men who may not be used to talking openly about emotions. My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, speak honestly, and work through difficult situations without feeling judged.
Welcome, I'm Anthonette.
First, I want to applaud you for taking a step toward improving your mental health. I specialize in helping women heal from anxiety and depression so they can live authentically and with intention. Every woman is equipped with her own set of solutions to the challenges she faces, and with the right guidance and support, she can overcome even the most difficult experiences in life.
Do you ever feel misunderstood, no one ever listens or cares about your life? Do you sometimes feel that you are trapped in a room without an exit? I will never exactly understand what it is like to be you, however I believe that significant progress can be made in even the toughest of life situations. Having someone that will listen and cares about your circumstances and strives to find a solution is imperative. I love to collaborate with my clients and develop a blueprint which can help them achieve their goals. Whatever your struggles, there's always a way out.
Peace. Happiness. Love. Success. We seek them. We want them. As we see them within reach, we are knocked down by the challenges and difficulties of life. We find, instead, lives that are filled with anxiety, sadness, grief, trauma, loss and failure. I know this too well. I have experienced this in my own life and in the life of my clients. It does not matter where you are in your life. I have had celebrity clients at the top of their field. I have worked with gold medal athletes. I have worked with businessmen and women, housewives, families, adolescents. I have also worked with those who have lost everything to the ravishes of substance use and with men serving life in prison.
It is possible to navigate the dangerous waters of life, but you will need a guide. I am that guide. I have excellent education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a wealth of experience. I have over three decades of experience as a husband, father, grandfather, youth pastor, counselor and university professor. I have worked in the church, private practice (in Florida and the Bahamas), community mental health (specializing in crisis and families with at-risk-adolescents), foster care, substance abuse, juvenile justice and the prisons. I have maintained my relevance by teaching at the university level, advising a best-selling author on the psychological aspects of his book, and serving as a consultant to other mental health agencies. I have wonderful experience working with anxiety, depression, anger, parenting issues, challenging children and teenagers, grief, trauma, substance use issues, family and relationship issues, LGBT issues, and other issues and concerns. I have helped my clients find peace with themselves, with others and in their situations. I have helped my clients find happiness, even amid loss. I have helped my clients find belonging and love in healthy and supportive relationships. I have helped my clients increase their ability to succeed by changing their thinking.
One of the foundations of my life and my work was written by M. Scott Peck in The Road Less Travelled. He wrote, “Life is difficult. This is a great truth, one of the greatest truths… Life is a series of problems. Do we want to moan about them or solve them? I’m a therapist who sees and treats you as a unique individual — not just a diagnosis or a checklist of symptoms. My goal is to meet you where you are, walk with you through your journey, and support you in reaching a place where you’re not just surviving, but truly thriving.
I offer therapy grounded in compassion, care, and consistency. I believe in holding space for both grace and accountability — creating a safe environment where you can be honest with yourself, challenge unhelpful patterns, and grow.
Together, we’ll work to identify and confront the distorted thoughts and false beliefs that often fuel anxiety, depression, and disconnection. My deepest desire is to help you break free from cycles that keep you stuck and to support your movement toward healing, clarity, and wholeness.
