My role is not just as a counselor but as a fellow traveler on the path to self-discovery.

Hi, I'm Ricardo. I'm a Hispanic man who's done my own work in therapy to figure out who I am and who I want to be—which is a big part of why I do this work today.
I went into counseling field because I kept seeing people who felt unheard or misunderstood by the people around them, often carrying more than anyone realized. That's especially true for a lot of men and teenage boys I've worked with—individuals who feel like they're supposed to be strong, keep things to themselves, or handle things alone, but who rarely have a space to actually talk about what's underneath that. I grew up seeing some of those same pressures and unhealthy patterns around what it means to "be a man," and part of my work now is helping men and boys move away from those roles and into a healthier, more grounded version of who they are—as partners, providers, sons, and people.
I especially enjoy working with teenage boys who are figuring out who they are, often at an age when it's hard to talk to the adults around them about what's really going on. I try to meet them where they are—not lecturing, not judging—so they actually want to keep showing up and talking.
For parents: if your son is pulling away, shutting down, or you're just not sure how to reach him right now, that's exactly the kind of thing we can work through together.
Outside of the therapy room, I'm endlessly curious—I love traveling, learning about different cultures, sports, and music (I play a bit of guitar). I think that mix of curiosity, care, and having done some of my own work is a lot of what I bring into the room with clients.
Hello, and welcome. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor dedicated to providing a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard and understood. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional dysregulation, helping them develop practical tools while also gaining deeper insight into themselves. My approach is affirming and solution-oriented, combining compassion with evidence-based strategies to help clients move toward greater balance, confidence, and emotional well-being. I believe therapy should feel collaborative, empowering, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. I provide therapy in English, Spanish, and Portuguese and welcome individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life. If you're ready to take the next step toward positive change, I invite you to reach out today. You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. It’s incredibly brave to reflect on your life and decide to make positive changes. Seeking support is often the first meaningful step forward. I believe one of the most healing experiences a person can have is to feel truly heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I work with adults, adolescents, and children ages 10 and older, helping clients navigate anxiety, intrusive thoughts, relationship patterns, stress, and life transitions. I have extensive experience working with first responders, healthcare professionals, correctional staff, and individuals navigating high-stress careers.
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions, as well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. As someone who personally understands OCD and the experience of feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I know how overwhelming it can feel when old coping strategies stop working and you’re unsure how to move forward. Therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself, build healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My goal is to help clients feel more confident, emotionally grounded, and connected to a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. If you’re ready to begin creating a life you genuinely enjoy, I would be honored to support you in that process.
As a licensed clinical mental health counselor, I am here to work with you to manage and overcome your own challenges in life and be able to help you live your life with a sense of ease and fulfillment. I work with individuals and couples in both English and Spanish.

Whether in private practice or academic institutions, I am passionate about cultivating resilience, enhancing performance, and making mental health accessible, inclusive, and empowering for all.
I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and genuinely understood, so you can begin to feel relief knowing your healing journey is underway. I want you to feel proud of yourself for taking the step to prioritize your mental health; it truly matters. My style is warm, patient, encouraging, and direct in a way that supports growth without feeling harsh or overwhelming.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida with a Master of Social Work (MSW), and I work with teens, young adults, couples, families, and individuals across the lifespan. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and evidence-based strategies for anxiety and emotional well-being.
In our work together, I focus on helping you better understand yourself, process what you’re going or have gone through, and build practical tools to manage anxiety, trauma, depression, and life’s daily challenges. I believe in supporting healing from a trauma-informed lens while also empowering you to recognize your own strengths and growth along the way.
If you’re feeling nervous about starting therapy, I often remind clients: Life will always bring challenges, and we all need support in navigating them. Seeking help is not something to be ashamed or afraid of; it’s a meaningful sign of strength and growth. Plus, there is a world of possibilities on the other side of your fear.
Outside of sessions, you’ll usually find me laughing or trying new foods; ideally both at the same time, but I’m not picky.

I am a therapist who values the courage it takes to seek help and take the first step toward working on yourself. Therefore, I offer a space where people can slow down, better understand the patterns behind what they feel, and learn how to navigate life with more clarity, emotional balance, and self-understanding rather than constantly feeling like they are just trying to survive through it.
In nearly 15 years of practice, I have had the privilege of working with patients, loved ones and medical providers to address a variety health issues including, but not limited to, sudden hospitalization, new diagnosis(es), chronic illness, high risk pregnancy, infertility and reproductive concerns, diabetes, cancer, bleeding disorders, end of life, and chronic pain. My goal is to provide a safe space for patients, family members and medical providers to work through their thoughts and feelings. The approach to your therapy will be one of collaboration, with me providing support in a non-judgmental environment and you making the final decisions on which path you wish to embark on.
