My path to becoming a therapist began outside the world of mental health, giving me a broader lens and a deep respect for the complexity of people’s stories. With an MBA from George Washington University, I spent years working for major global firms—until I realized my true purpose was helping people heal. Nearly a decade ago, I returned to school to pursue my second master’s degree in mental health counseling, fully committing to this work. Since then, I’ve supported clients in a wide range of settings: residential treatment centers, a psychiatric hospital during the height of COVID, and for over three years, individuals navigating the criminal justice system. For the past few years, I’ve continued that work in private practice. These experiences have shaped not only my clinical skill set, but my unwavering belief in the resilience of the human spirit. No matter where you’ve been, you deserve care that’s grounded in empathy, respect, and a commitment to real change.

Do you find yourself struggling with navigating the challenges of life with the need to escape? Addiction and avoidance are two very common mechanisms used in today’s world to deal with the crushing weight of life. Trust me, I get it. I have walked my own journey out of addiction into sobriety. It is a lifelong process that I embrace. It’s not just about breaking free from substances, but also achieving emotional sobriety. Time is a luxury many of us don’t feel that we have and we are constantly looking for the “quick fix,” but life has other plans. If you are looking beyond a “band aid solution” to living a better life today you’ve come to the right place. I’ve been there. I may be a therapist, but I’m a human first. A person just like you. Would you like to accept the invitation to enter into this journey of healing together? To go from surviving to learning how to thrive? To learn to unapologetically love yourself again, or maybe for the first time ever? You’re worth it. It’s your time to make yourself a priority.

Life can feel overwhelming at times, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. I know that mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all. Everyone’s journey is different, and what works for one person might not work for another. That’s why I take a client-centered, individualized approach that meets you where you are. Hello, My name is Moises Ramy. I am a licensed mental health therapist, a Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida, and a doctor of psychology. I graduated as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology from Carlos Albizu University, Miami Campus and completed my doctoral internship at the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lexington, Kentucky. At that time, the mission of FMC was a federal prison/hospital for incarcerated females with medical and psychological conditions. During my doctoral internship, I completed three clinical rotations. Two at FMC, in the Crisis Wing and in the General Population Unit and an elective rotation at Ridge Behavioral Health System (formerly Charter Ridge Hospital of Lexington), Lexington, Kentucky, assessing suicidality of adolescents in crisis from the Lexington area and the Appalachians. My clinical spectrum covers diverse females and males, LGBTQ members, homeless veterans, and young college students experiencing moderate to severe adjustment problems as well as older adult issues. During these clinical years, I have acquired vast experience helping clients from all walks of life struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, interpersonal conflicts, bipolar disorder, gender and sexual identity issues, abuse and trauma, and substance abuse. I have offered most of my clinical services in different prisons and rehabilitation centers, private and community mental health hospitals, and veteran homeless organizations. My exposure and experience working with these populations have extraordinarily helped me become a more empathetic, non-judgmental and non-directive clinician. My whole idea about psychotherapy is helping clients to help themselves so that they work on solutions, develop the strength to cope with their everyday challenges and regain competence and control of their lives.

Life is not easy. We have all been through at least one event that affected us in a way where it follows us and finds ways to get our attention. For a lot of us this may be depression and anxiety. Lack of a sense of identity. Trying to survive in a world where we are told to live and think a certain way. But at the end of the day, we are all different; built with our own unique energetic and genetic blueprint. So how in any way can each of us follow the same path, the same way of living? My specific focus is working with individuals to break down walls. Understand how past events might be affecting them today in their relationship dynamics, their career, why they make the choices they make. Setting a path to find themselves and be the best versions of themselves. This might involve tapping into their creativity and not being afraid to dream. I highly encourage using one's imagination. A lot of those whom struggle with depression and anxiety have nervous systems that are in constant survival and are not even aware of that. I work with clients on finding modalities to help them break out of survival mode and feel safe in their daily lives. My approach is more holistic: mind/body/spirit. My preferred practice is spiritually based, but I am happy to work with those whom do not prefer that approach. Ultimately, I'm here to guide those looking for their true selves!

My main specialties of counseling include: anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ concerns, relationship issues, self-esteem, meaning and purpose seeking, first responders and their families, postpartum issues, grief, trauma, stress management, substance use, anger management, parenting concerns, peer relationships, and much more. I utilize a variety of techniques and methods to aid the client in discovering the path that allows them to feel more positive growth and change in their lives. I aim for the client feeling comfortable and providing a safe and nonjudgmental environment that facilitates this. The client and therapist need to be a great 'fit'!

*Currently accepting new clients via teletherapy.* I am ready to help you! I have been a therapist for 10+ years and my mission is to help you find balance in your life. I view therapy through a holistic standpoint, in which I use the mind and the body to help you get to the wellness that you so deserve. I became a therapist because I wanted to help clients navigate the stresses of work and life and make meaningful changes that would improve their mental well-being. At the first session, you can expect a non-judgmental and an easy-going conversation to build up a therapeutic alliance. At the moment, I practice entirely over tele-health, giving us the flexibility to connect conveniently and safely. I received a Master's degree in family psychology, in 2010, from Hardin-Simmons University in Texas. I engage others by helping them feel comfortable while also being solution focused. I prescribe to a Cognitive behavioral approach which helps others see life's problems and solutions in a better light. I work with individuals ages 5-100, families, adolescents, marriage or relationship counseling, premarital counseling, and parents who need some guidance raising their children. Some areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, bipolar, problem solving, relationship specialist, communication skills, anger management, coping skills, relaxation exercises, and panic attacks.

Are you experiencing challenges that are interfering with your emotional health and wellbeing? Do you feel your past experiences are affecting your ability to reach your full potential? Do you need a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings and engage in self exploration? I am a licensed psychotherapist who believes the most important catalyst for change is the relationship between therapist and client. My goal is to partner with you to reach your desired goals in a therapeutic environment. We will take the necessary steps together to foster positive change while creating individual strategies for self-empowerment. I have been trained in EMDR therapy which is a theory based on the belief that our brains have a natural system for processing information and experiences so that we can keep what we need for wisdom, learning, and growth. Sometimes disturbing experiences overwhelm the processing system, or we don't have the information we need for our brains to make sense of what happened in a healthy way. EMDR uses eye movements and other right-left stimulation to activate your brain's processing system so you can successfully process the experience and let go of what's not useful to you. I believe our past effects our present and future- both in adaptative and maladaptive ways. I would be honored to be a part of your journey to inner peace, self-love, and fulfillment.

Hello and thank you for checking out my profile and considering me in your current journey. My name is Jeff Moyer, licensed mental health therapist. I understand that therapy can be intimating and so I applaud you for taking this step in looking at options for support. My goal is to help change the perception of therapy and help clients see it as a positive way to support mental health, and just another way of developing one's health, just like with our physical health. I want to guide clients in developing positive changes in their life, so they feel better and healthier, emotionally. Therapy isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about finding possible alternatives to support change in the areas that may be causing problems in our life. Thank you again for looking into ways to be more emotionally healthy, and I am here to help if you decide you would like to get started.

I'm a mental health therapist who is passionate about helping individuals gain deeper insight into themselves and create lasting, meaningful change in their lives. My work is grounded primarily in psychodynamic therapy, which means I focus on helping clients uncover and understand unconscious patterns, early relational experiences, and internal conflicts that influence how they think, feel, and behave today. I believe that by bringing these deeper dynamics into awareness, people can begin to heal from past wounds and build more fulfilling lives and relationships. In addition to psychodynamic therapy, I integrate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in managing present-day symptoms and building practical coping skills. CBT allows us to identify and challenge distorted thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. We work together to reshape those thoughts and develop healthier behaviors that promote emotional well-being. ACT helps clients relate differently to their internal experiences by fostering mindfulness, acceptance, and alignment with personal values, encouraging them to take meaningful action even in the face of difficult emotions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs and goals. Whether someone is struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, self-doubt, or a sense of feeling stuck, I work to create a safe space where they feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we explore the roots of their struggles while also building the tools they need to thrive in the present and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Florida rather than a city like Tampa?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Florida from Miami to Jacksonville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Florida.

Will my therapist take All Savers?

Yes! If you use All Savers you’ll be asked to verify your Member ID at the time you book the appointment. However, if you don’t have All Savers you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

What are the "Clients say I'm" badges?

Grow Therapy asks patients about their experience with therapists after they have had a certain number of sessions. After enough responses, we add those characteristics to their profiles to help you find the best online therapists for you. We're still working on collecting this information from all our therapists.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
