I hold a deep respect for each person's unique story. I am passionate about supporting people in finding greater connections with themselves and those around them, and in being more present in their daily lives. Together we can craft an approach to counseling that works for you.
I am a bilingual/bi-cultural therapist; able to do therapy in both English/Spanish. I am sensitive to inter-generational conflicts that arise due to acculturation issues.
Therapy provides an opportunity to wonder about experiences, emotions, and desires that we may not otherwise have space to explore. This process can deepen our insight into the impact of personal history on our current behavioral and emotional patterns, allowing us a greater sense of self and choice in our lives and relationships.
In the course of psychotherapy, we will create a space of non-judgmental curiosity, including space for creativity, playfulness, and humor.
I help my patients develop and strengthen their ability to manage anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges so that they can live a more meaningful, mindful, and enjoyable life.
I encourage my patients to work hard to grow and change, achieving the life they desire. I seek to develop a caring and supportive relationship with all my patients.
You are a unique human being. There is no "one size fits all" therapy. Let's talk and see if I am the right fit to help you reach the goals you want for yourself.
Together we will work to deepen self-awareness, presence, and sense of possibility. I use she/her pronouns.
*** Please note that I am only able to schedule appointments on the hour (i.e. 3:00), and cannot accommodate appointments on the half hour (i.e. 3:30). Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve the scheduling platform. ***
My name is Algelis Gonzalez, though I am commonly known as Al. My motivation to become a therapist stems from my personal journey. Growing up in a Latino culture, I developed a curiosity about people both within my community and beyond. This curiosity has driven me to understand the reasons behind our behaviors, both positive and negative. Throughout my career as a therapist, I continue to learn and grow, drawing from the vast knowledge available in the field.
I am deeply committed to helping my clients embrace their true selves, regardless of their personality traits—whether they are humorous, quiet and shy, hesitant to trust, or feeling frustrated with the world. I believe that everyone is welcome in my practice. Recognizing that none of us are perfect and that we are all striving to make sense of life’s complexities, I focus on exploring my clients’ experiences with respect and understanding. My goal is to facilitate their growth in ways they may not have previously thought possible.
Do you find yourself buying every self-help book but still feeling stuck? Maybe you're the "therapist friend" who has it all figured out for others but can't seem to make progress yourself? Or perhaps you're tired of being told "you're so self-aware" while still repeating the same patterns? And what about that family trauma your family swears never happened? Yeah, it's still showing up in your life today. I get it.
Hey! I'm Dr. Ré (Ray), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Financial Social Worker (CFSW) and holistic therapist based in Dallas, TX. I help self-aware Gen Z and Millennials get unstuck, break generational patterns, and figure out this thing called adulting through therapy that goes beyond just talking about it. I blend evidence-based practices with mind-body approaches to create real, lasting change and healing.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, constantly overthinking, or emotionally drained—you’re not alone. I help individuals who are struggling with anxiety, burnout, self-doubt, and relationship stress learn how to feel more in control and confident in their daily lives.
Many of my clients are high-functioning but feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, people-pleasing, or emotional exhaustion. They’re used to carrying everything on their own and don’t always have the tools to slow their thoughts or regulate their emotions.
In our work together, we focus on what’s actually keeping you stuck—and more importantly, how to change it. You’ll learn practical skills to manage anxiety, quiet overthinking, set healthy boundaries, and respond differently in situations that usually overwhelm you.
My approach is structured, supportive, and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy to help you create real, lasting change—not just temporary relief. If desired, I also offer a Christian, faith-based perspective.
If you’re ready for therapy that is both supportive and practical, I’m here to help you build clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of control.

I have been in the mental health field since 2007. I was informed when I first started in this field that the average time for people to stay in the field is two years. I am still in the field because helping others is more than a career choice for me, it is my passion in life. Helping others is a personal goal of mine. I look forward to the opportunity. I enjoy seeing people make positive changes in their lives. I have worked with families, couples, children, adolescents and teens, from various cultures and backgrounds. Each case and each client is unique in their way and each client is important.
My particular areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, substance abuse, marriage counseling and family counseling. I refer to myself as a "simple-minded therapist" which means we will explore simple ways to address the presenting concerns because many times the solutions are so simple they can be easily overlooked. I am a firm believer that holding a conversation is more productive than expounding on theoretical approaches.
Because I believe mental healthcare should be accessible and affordable, my self-pay rate is now $100/session. I also maintain a limited number of appointments at $85/session for individuals with additional financial need. Please contact me to request either of these options: www.atlanticpsychotherapyllc.com

My name is Mary Vaughan and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of Florida. I have been in the mental health business for 35+ years. I love my work and that is the reason have stayed in it as long as I have. I am a military brat and I have moved around in Europe and many states.
Before I begin to work with a client, I tell them some of my background. It is my opinion the client should know something about his/her counselor before we begin our work.
I have had very successful results working with people who suffer from some kind of abuse ( either in childhood or as a young adult.) If abuse has occurred at most any age, the individual may come to me and tell me that they are experincing stress, depression, anxiety and/or panic attacks.
Before beginning counseling, I inform the client that we will have a questioning and answer process. This allows the client and me to get to know each other a little better. Based on the information I gather about my client, we discuss what the client wants from their sessions. The individual and I work together as a team. In this process, the client gains a sense of self-esteem and a sense of control over their lives going forward in the future.
Finding the right "fit" of counselor and client is key to a successful experience for the client. After the counselor gives the client some unique coping skills, the counselor asks the client if these skills might work for them. These coping skills are "Fluid" and can be modified and changed as we proceed in the counseling process.

Feeling constantly on edge, emotionally drained, or struggling to cope? Many clients I encounter feel stuck in survival mode-overwhelmed with anxiety, weighed down with depression, or impacted by trauma. Life stressors can feel all consuming and this can make everyday feel like an uphill battle.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing compassionate, trauma-informed therapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also have a certification in CBT focused on Depression. Together, we focus on reducing anxiety, improving mood, and developing coping skills to help regain a sense of control and stability in your daily life.
I earned my doctorate and post-graduate master's degrees in psychology and my master's degree in counseling from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa. Professionally, I retired from the United States Air Force as a senior non-commissioned officer, and since retiring, have worked in several different behavioral health settings. In addition to my private practice, I am a graduate-level adjunct professor of counseling psychology.
Most people don’t need a diagnosis. They need someone to actually listen. And I’m here for it all.
I’m here to help you figure it out by talking through the part you’ve been trying to carry alone. This is where you say the things you’ve never said out loud. You need to be understood. This is where you stop pretending it didn’t affect you.
If you’re looking for someone who will just quietly nod as you pour out your heart and soul, I’m not the right therapist for you. I ask questions. I’m curious.
I’m a therapist who helps people make sense of their inner world - especially during seasons of heartbreak, confusion, or change. My clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed or lost. Together we create a space for clarity, healing, and grounded movement toward wholeness.
I aim to provide warmth, practicality, insight, and encouragement which is blended, at times, with a bit of humor.
My style is interactive, thoughtful, and deeply collaborative. You can expect sessions to be supportive and also gently challenging – the kind which will help you grow, and not just endlessly vent (although you are welcome to unburden yourself as needed).
I believe that in our darkest moments, we need someone to walk with us. There’s nothing more meaningful to me than helping people find the light they thought they’d lost. What happened to you is not the ending of your story. It is the doorway to something deeper.
I won’t pretend to have all the answers. I wish I could wave a magic wand and solve it all! But I promise I will bring curiosity, steadiness, and care every time you show up.
