As a Doctor of Psychology and psychotherapist for 45+ years, I've dealt with my own grief and loss by writing the nonfiction book, "Doggie Wisdom for Humans: Advice from Dogs for Humans of All Ages," and an autobiographical fiction series, "The Adventures of the Angel Oleo." In this fashion, I use an individualized approach to meet my clients' needs. My style of therapy is grounded in the person-centered approach. I practice listening with empathy to my client’s lived experiences. I remind myself that it is not my place to judge anyone for their past choices. It is my responsibility to respond honestly and respectfully. My hope is to mediate shame, so that people feel comfortable and safe in opening up about what is troubling them. Once the therapeutic space feels safe, only then can various treatment methods truly be effective.
Are you ready to create the life you want to live? I have been a licensed psychotherapist since 2002, and I work with everyday people who are trying to manage life’s challenges while still wanting something more peaceful, meaningful, and steady for themselves. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, also known as CBT, to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, choices, and life experiences. Together, we look at what feels stuck, what patterns may be showing up, and what practical steps can help you move toward your desired outcome.
I support clients who are dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship stress, self-doubt, feeling emotionally drained, and the pressure of trying to hold everything together. Therapy with me is not about judgment or labels; it is about having a safe space where you can be honest, feel supported, and begin creating change in a way that feels realistic and personal to you. If we are a good fit, I would be honored to walk with you as you take your next step forward.

What makes my story unique is that I’ve personally been in the client’s seat. It was through my own healing journey that I discovered my true purpose—to offer the same kind, compassionate support I once received during a challenging time in my life. I’m passionate about giving back in this way and hopeful that together, we can bring healing and growth not just to individuals, but to the wider community as well.
I’m passionate about helping teens, parents, and individuals feel empowered, understood, and supported. With over five years of clinical experience in both private practice and school settings, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life.
I specialize in supporting teens and individuals facing challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, and emotional regulation. Hi! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in California. I received my Masters from California State University, Fresno and have been practicing for 30+ years. I love helping people who feel stuck in life due to anxiety and depression. I help clients develop self-insight based on their strengths and areas of interest. By doing so, they are able to overcome negative thoughts and self-defeating behaviors and to identify goals to move toward. I use a variety of therapy modalities, some of which are described below. In addition to the ones described, I use art interventions frequently. Although I am not a certified art therapist, I received a great deal of training in neurodevelopmental art therapy with Linda Chapman.
It never ceases to amaze me just how often I have to try to convince others that they are worthy SIMPLY because they exist. This includes you! I want to know who communicated to you that you are not enough and why you value the opinion of said person(s); these types of harmful beliefs are learned, not innate. Let's unlearn them together.
Most of my early clinical work has been with children and adolescents with focus on Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, trauma and various behavioral and emotional issues. I have worked in high-intensity and high-crisis environments from school to hospital settings.
I am passionate about working with and creating a safe space for folks who belong to BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. I understand that belonging to a marginalized/oppressed group can result in barriers to achieving and maintaining optimal mental health. I am a cis/het woman doing my best to provide care that is equitable and gender-affirming. I'm always learning and growing as an ally; you will always be safe here. I am also always looking at things through a trauma-informed lens.
I'm a busy working parent who understands how hard it can be to do it all. I am currently pursuing a certification in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders to be able to better support soon-to-be and new parents; this particular journey is no joke! I am certified in treating perinatal mental health disorders (PMH-C)
