My name is Suzanne and I have been working in the field of mental health since 2009. I have a passion to support others with personal growth and healing through a variety of mental health interventions. I prefer to evaluation the whole person and their history in order to best create a treatment plan that addresses each client's unique needs. The hope is to create a lasting positive change in their overall well-being and connections with others.
Brief review of legal and ethical parameters of therapy. Intake information of current symptoms, recent mental health challenges, and historical data collection. Begin discussion of treatment plan goals.
I have a broad experience which can relate directly with most clients. I am culturally sensitive, nurturing, and truly care about the outcomes of my clients.
I am most equipped to help men and women ages 18 and up. Helping clients move through grief, loss, and other life transitions is a strength. Pre-marital and couples counseling are also categories I work with. I do offer a Christian based approach. I have special experience helping parents with early childhood development challenges, ADHD, blending families, and other parenting struggles with their children which may be impacting their mental health.
I am experienced and trained in over 40 treatment methods from which I pull techniques depending on my client's specific needs. Connecting with client's and appropriately assessing their treatment plan goals allows me to employ what works best for them. Some methods I commonly utilize include: Art Therapy, CBT, Gestalt, Grief, Internal Family Systems, Interpersonal, Mindfulness, Culturally Sensitive, Person Centered, Play Therapy, Psychoeducation, Schema, Solution Focus - Brief, Strength Based, and Trauma Informed Care.
